  1. I have these ones, but I found for mine the plastic vari kennels have always made the young ones feel more secure quicker and less screaming.
  2. If she starts drooling profusely don't worry, frogs can secrete a hormone that makes them drool like mad. It clears up on their own though.
  3. I've been watching the fires pretty intently. We're seeing fire activity worse than we have seen in at least 10 years from what I'm seeing....Montana is burning up too, it's early in the year for this kind of fire activity. WA will be next (where I'm living now). Will make for a good wildland fire fighting season for me, I know it stinks for everyone else though. Will keep you all in my thoughts!
  4. I too did the 25% TOTW 75% old food for 2-3 days, 50-50 mix 2-3 days, 75% TOTW 25% old 2-3 days, 100% TOTW zero issues! If they have looser stools just stay at the ratio you fed the day before for an extra day and see if it firms up.
  5. Susan (breeder) is suggesting to wait until 7 weeks before we nail it down to the one. I feel that is sound advise for me So far observing them the Dark Red I like has the most personality and 'it' factor, the grey girl is a bit more reserved. However, the grey has a bit more length of body and the red looks a bit short coupled, but it's only 4 weeks a lot can change in the next 4 weeks! Waiting is the hardest part!!!
  6. I won't get to come back until they are 8 weeks unfortunately, Susan lives 11hrs from me, so it's a big drive! I am getting video from her though, so far it's been all grrs and uncoordinated play LOL!
  7. Puppies are in bed now, can't wait for tomorrow to have more puppy play time!!!
  8. All of mine changed as they went from puppy coat to adult coat and more as they aged and developed. Denali: Juneau: Dakota:
  9. The first red girl has so much personality! Quite the little charismatic attitude, her and the first boy. What a litter! Still too early to decide, but still looking between the first red and dark grey females.
  10. We are at Galena Creek for a few days between dog shows, getting some much needed puppy time. The litter I'm hoping to get my next show pup (female) from is now 4 weeks old and FULL of personality! The Girls The Boys
  11. Thank you all, I took some time to collect myself. Actually 'ran away' with a friend to the dog show, needed to see my boy that has been out on the road for the week that my life was falling apart. I have talked to a number of my co-workers and friends as well as my Union rep and there are positive thoughts floating around. We discovered they wrongfully terminated me, so the fight is on, we are compiling evidence to make my case...fingers crossed I will get my job back. I love my job and even though it will be rough if I'm allowed to come back I will stick it out.
  12. I hope so, I am done in my current field....the only place I could work was the company I was with. Sadly enough I'd either have to give up on my dreams or move to another area.
  13. I used to play WoW, but got so busy I had no time to play...now that my schedule has opened up I guess I'll start playing again.
  14. Well it's all over....I was fired from my job...since my husband has been unemployed for the past 2 years it looks pretty bleak.
  15. I agree with Hy'Shqa any good breeder would take the puppy back...though I don't necessarily feel that finding a balance between being pregnant and raising a puppy is impossible. Best of luck.
  16. Thank woo all for the birthday wishes!
  17. It's been an amazing 6 years with my wonderful red head! Here's to many more years.:cake:
  18. Coping has become an issue...I hope to have some answers today. The stress is killing me, I've gained 6lbs, had constant heartburn, pretty much constant migraines, and my favorite breakout of pimples on my face. Just want this to be over already!!
  19. I have had 2 climb outs with the panels I have, a mesh 'lid' was quickly added....just got a roll of 6' metal mesh "horse fence" and made a top secured with industrial zip ties. No climb outs since, and the cattle panels under them have prevented dig outs, as you can see I'm using the same principle in the new kennels since it has worked so well.
  20. Honestly my panels, the ones we bought new from Behlin still look brand new even at 5 years old. The other brand ones we found through friends and craigslist haven't faired as well but still do their job. The hardest thing has been cleaning the fluff that got stuck to them and then peed on. Really the only reason we are upgrading is just the direction we are moving with our pack. They deserve the extra room to move around when they have to be kenneled, even though with the new fence/extended yard is less and less. I will be posting a thread of the build as soon as we finish the kennel runs, to share start to finish
  21. I currently have 5'x10'x6' pre-fabed kennels and it can be uncomfortable for 2 dogs to share that space for a given amount of time. I find that they are perfect containment units for single dogs. I did patio paver squares for most of the flooring and a 2' gravel space for potty drainage. Currently I'm still in the process of constructing my 10'x25' kennel runs that will house 2 dogs comfortably. The flooring will be total pea-gravel for optimal drainage and easy on the elbows and feet. Current In construction
  22. In positive news? It seems since the Sheriff's Deputy talked to the neighbor he's been scarce and has not moved the property stakes again. Yes he was moving the stakes further onto my property, a whole 20' or more trying to claim it was his....so I guess that is at a stand still for the moment, which I will take whatever break I can get.
  23. For some reason I'm in the bosses cross hairs....seems the boss was not too pleased to not have the original punishment stick due to lack of legality/evidence so now they are digging. They seem to forget they are not my primary agency and both of my Medical Directors have already accepted my new certification. They are just out to make my life hell right now, and if I could leave I probably would but seeing that this is the only company in town (and one of the largest in the US) I'd be done forever if I left now. I still have ambitions to move up the ladder, just might hang low for a bit before moving forward.
  24. Well they say it's always darkest before the storm....well I think we have hit the darkest it's ever been. The original sick leave denial looks like it's been dropped....but now they are working on a more serious claim against me. Well in their minds any way. I have been placed on Unpaid Admin Leave for the rest of the month it looks like while an 'investigation' into doing my job in the best interest of the patient and well within my scope of practice. They claim I operated outside of my scope of practice because they refuse to acknowledge my state issued certification. I don't know where this will go but my Union is working hard to get me reinstated and my lost wages. I suddenly realize the light at the end of the tunnel was just the train.
