  1. I had to go buy river rock and fill the holes....that was what finally got our problem child to stop digging his holes up over and over. The poo fill didn't detour him and he smelled horrid after his digs LOL
  2. I believe in feeding a food you are comfortable with and that your puppy will thrive on, just don't switch "cold turkey". Get Simply Right and slowly add Blue into that food until you can ween him off that food onto your food of choice.
  3. Thanks! I sure think so, he and Denali look so much alike only at different developmental stages oddly enough.
  4. Recently acquired a litter mate of Denali. He will be a co-owned dog between me and their breeder. He was originally sold to a family that just couldn't keep him contained. Though they really loved him they thought it best to give him back. He's such a wonderful boy can't wait to get to know him better This is: Kaniska's Friends in Low Places at Keahi "Takoda"
  5. Denali and Aspen Monster Denali Aspen, Denali, and Juneau play Juneau and Denail Denali and Rockie racing Nice stand Bounding Denali Dakota's intense blues
  6. Can I just add use peanut butter with caution? We found out the rather hard way that Diamond was allergic to peanuts while pill hiding. She was on 6 pills in the am, 3 in mid day, and 6 in the pm...a spoon full of peanut butter hid them all so well and went down just as easily until we had to rush her to the vet with swelling and itching...it was the single most scary thing we've been through in a long time.
  7. Isn't that just the most fun!! Diamond is used to pill popping, she was a wreck when we got her. But Dakota is the most untrusting dog ever! If he suspects us "poisoning" him with meds he will stay off his food and watches us with suspicious eyes.
  8. Denali (nearly naked) and Diamond chillin on the doggie beds today
  9. ROFL! That is EPIC fail!! I, myself had an oopsi on my Facebook page that day. I had posted a pic of a mad kitty in a snow bank with the caption "Cocaine, so much Cocaine" then found out Whitney had died about an hour later. I admit I felt sheepish.
  10. I have a 50' lead too! I love it, I wouldn't mind a 100' lead though
  11. I will just add this, my good friend spent over $1,700 for a BYB AKC registered puppy, who ended up getting premature arthritis, hip displaysia, and cataracts...he's a wonderful companion still but sadly has raked her bank account over the coals with his vet bills. Whereas I didn't spend even half of that for a responsibly bred puppy who has been the picture of health and quality, I couldn't be happier. I don't think either of us regret our decisions in the long run, but I know that my g-friend would probably do a bit more research the next time around.
  12. Juneau was the runt of her litter, but it didn't affect her growth she's completely normal size...she was a bit more reserved and it took a bit more prying to get her out of her shell. Not sure about the others who were rescues...Denali was litter pick though, he really shows it in every way LOL
  13. There is apparently a song called "I climbed mount Denali" my youngest is named Denali Takoda my newest boy's registered name is "Friends in Low places" for all you country music fans you'll get it LOL There are songs named Juneau, and also Dakota
  14. Hugs! Glad you are OK bar some minor scrapes! But isn't it typical we land in the most inconvenient places? I landed on my face the last time I was thrown from my horse, broken nose/broken chin/many scrapes and bruises....I was colorful to say the least LOL
  15. Do you have any benadryl? You could give 1 and see if that resolves any of the discomfort at least until you can see a vet
  16. All of mine have White Pine martingale collars, I LOVE them and they do not damage the coat which is a big plus. http://www.whitepineoutfitters.com/
  17. I have the same issue with certain other breeds...so far I have found Goldens and Labs to be my biggest issue creators. Dog shows where our grooming areas are near these breeds is down right miserable! I also break out into hives if they touch me with their noses. Ironically it doesn't happen with the Siberians. Guess I fell in love with the right breed for me and my health
  18. Aww so bummed! how did I miss the entry again
  19. I'm not going to say I'm not totally unappreciative of what he does...but there are times when I wonder, "what does he do around here?"...I know he does the dishes and the laundry...occasionally will vacuum the area rug in the living room....but the floor doesn't get mopped unless I do it, the kitchen counters are barely visible under all the mail and clutter, the dining room table the same. There have been times when the dogs had been neglected and I'm outside all hours of the night righting that situation. Those are the nights I could explode. He plays volunteer firefighter like it's his job...I'm glad he's found a hobby, but really it's time to grow up. Glad I could make your situation not seem so bad
  20. But aside from the car chatter, I could do that all day...seriously have a husband issue too, mine has been happily unemployed for 2 years now...and is making no signs of changing that. I'm at my wits end with it....I'm working my butt off and he's spending it away...taking spur of the moment vacations are easy, but we can't afford to do as much as we used to....I'm not sure what to do. I tried talking to him sensitively about it, FIGHT, being harsh on him, BIGGER FIGHT, putting my foot down, almost divorce....Why do men have to be so bull headed?
  21. Such a tough decision! There are so many hotties!! My list in no particular order: 1)David Boreanaz 2) Orlando Bloom 3) Taylor Lautner 4) Nicholas Cage (Gone in 60 really got to me) 5) Hugh Jackman
  22. Loves me American muscle car <3 I tried my hands at professional mechanics, but the mindset of the American man still hasn't changed. I got my Associates in Automotive and Diesel repair, specialized in BMW...and now work as an EMT for the ambulance. Quite the career change! I still get my hands dirty on my 1969 Nova hobby. Someday we'll hit the strip with it
