  1. Comparing Core and TOTW side by side it appears that the only difference is a 1% crude fat increase. That would make it an easy transition for my kiddos. I have been so happy with Core and how well the kiddos do on it...it's just becoming more difficult to find Core here in town and the savings I'd get from TOTW is tempting....It's almost "if its not broke, don't fix it" situations LOL
  2. Welcome to the forum! Looking forward to hearing all about your fur-baby!
  3. I've been using Wellness Core for my brood with great success...but I do notice a large number of my fellow Siberian loving humans here like TOTW...I am considering switching for a couple of reasons...1) better accessibility to TOTW vs Core 2) TOTW is about $15 cheaper and has 4lbs more per bag! That would cut out almost 1 bag per month and that's a HUGE savings in this pack!!!
  4. I'd have to say that a reputable training program is in order (stay away from Petco/Petsmart training programs!)....but lack of exercise and mental stimulation is a big contributing factor to the behavior you are experiencing...I know it can be hard, I have 9 and work nights, but you have to get some sort of routine exercise! Getting a second would only add the number of dogs you'll be walking...they will play and exercise each other to some extent but there is no substitute to structured exercise...Good luck!
  5. Ooh fun! I wish our snow would stick around for more than a day Enjoy the snow for my kiddos too
  6. My head hurts more after reading this....wow people can be so uneducated.
  7. Wow is just about all I can say! I can't imagine how tough this must be, but keep a smile on and I'll hope you'll continue to lead a good example of responsible ownership in your family! As for the collar- all of mine are microchipped for the just in case, but I like the White Pine collars I get at the dog shows (can be ordered online). They were developed by a Samoyed breeder. They are thinner than the average collar and they do not damage or discolor the coat. I couldn't be happier to be able to keep a collar on my boy and not worry about ruining his coat before a show!
  8. Well it's kinda not fair since I work nights, but yes I have pulled an accidental 24! Got so wrapped up playing with my pups just plain forgot to go to bed! Have you ever thought of something funny and started laughing out loud in the presence of others?

    Wow! That's impressive!
  10. Not once, I will get rid of any of my worldly possessions before giving up any one of my animals! Have you ever had a craving for something that you just can't put a finger on what it is you are craving? (this drives me nuts!)
  11. My vet that comes to my house and does her procedures (that's right Tikaani was neutered on my granet top kitchen island) charged me $65. Whereas Timber cost me over $300, Juneau's spay $450, Dakota's neuter $400 at clinics...
  12. Well it depends on how ridiculous the breeder is. I spent $450 for my well bred boy that I'm showing at the moment. He's not out of any of the "big name" kennels but reputable kennels None the less (Galena Creek x Waymar). Whereas a friend of mine spent $1700 for a puppy mill bred Siberian that barely meets standard. do your research is the only advise I can give you, price doesn't mean quality in every instance.
  13. Thanks. He is a wild child when he's not brushed up. As far as camera I use a Nikon D300s for these shots. But there are some great cheaper cameras on the market.

    dieting?

I'm sorta doing the same as Luna's Mom....just trying to eat healthy with an epic fail (but mine is in decision making)....I need to get on track if I'm gonna hit my goal!
  15. Yeah at almost a year I wouldn't be real hopeful, they usually grow out of it early in their puppy-hood. He's still cute though
  16. It looks as though that ear may stand as your pup ages, but don't be surprised if it falls again through teething stages...only to stand back up again Completely natural. Especially if you saw the parents and they both have erect ears.
  17. That's great! Where did you order from I'm ordering mine this weekend.
  18. That's so cool!! Congrats on the AKC Family Dog mention
  19. Aww Thank you! She seems to be everyone's favorite She's our special little girl, she's been through so much and came out strong...maybe that's what everyone picks up on
  20. Denali is and always has been a screamer...to the point I can't leave him in the grooming area crated at dog shows he sounds like he's being murdered...but he's always been a talker. From the moment we met him! Yet Dakota (my oldest) rarely ever made a peep until the sound of kibble hit the bowl. With Denali squirt guns and ignoring have made the screaming more manageable....it's taking time but I have faith it will stop, as he is maturing it's lessening as well. With the potty training, keep him on lead and about every hour walk to the same door, exit, and give a "go potty" type command. When successful potty happens special treat that he only gets outside...eventually he will associate that door with having to potty and go there when he needs out. Aggressive/Possessive needs to be taught Drop It or Leave It...that will save your hands and when he starts getting edgy with others around his treats/toys giving that command will let him know that he is out of line. An appropriate training program should be enough to correct this issue. Good luck with everything! And most importantly be patient and consistent
