  1. I have never seen our pug mark anywhere and we have had him about 2 years.
  2. He is doing it at night so I am unsure if he is raising his leg or not. By area, we have a spot in our house that we put up a gate to enclose him and the put at night on a tiled area of the house. He is allowed to roam the house when we are in there. He seems to be housebroken now with the exception of this problem. He does let me know when he has to go out. The pug is a male and is not yet fixed. We plan on getting them both fixed.
  3. We live on about an acre out in the country and I have now let Koba off of his lead a few times. So far he had done great. He just played around the yard. We were nervous as our pug immediately leaves the neighborhood if he breaks free. It was a big relief. I am still a little cautious and only do it for short periods of time and under very closer supervision.
  4. Koba seems to urinate on everything new that I put in his area for him. How can I stop this? Last night it was two new dog beds (we also have a pug). He is only about 3 1/2 months old. Besides this problem he has done excellent with his training.
  5. Just curious how everyone's dogs are around childrent. I have 4 (kids, not dogs) lol & so far Koba is doing great. Anything special I should be working on?? I have been training him to eat from my hand but anything else I should focus on? Thanks!!
  6. Thanks!! I currently only have a retractable but would love to get a longer one for walks.
  7. ok thanks!! there are so many good ones to choose from!!
  8. I hope this doesn't sound stupid, but I have seen a lot of posts about not letting the husky off of the lead as they will take off. Then people talk about the size of the lead. Is this "lead" a leash for walking or a tie out so they can get exercise? I'm confused. I currently take Koba out on a leash & walk him but will be putting in a kennel once the weather breaks for him to exercise. Is it ok to tie him out for now???
  9. great thanks! I wondered if maybe he just wasn't staying out long enough. I have bought the spray at the pet store to get rid of the scent. so he basically chooses a different spot each time.
  10. Koba seems to do really good with the crate training. He goes as soon as I take him outside. I then stay out there about 15 minutes before bringing him in and letting him play in the house. However, several times now within about 10 minutes of coming in he has urinated on the living room floor. Any suggestions??
  11. Ok this may sound like a really stupid question, but I noticed Koba has his dewclaws. Do I need to have them removed? Should they have already been removed? I guess I don't know if they are ok or need to go. He will not be a show dog, and we plan on keeping him as an inside dog if this helps. Thanks!
  12. good question! I was wondering the same thing for my pug. I am hoping that they will get used to each other. The pug has never really had a chance to be around other dogs. We live out in the country and there aren't dog parks in our area. He is very friendly though, so I am hoping he will take to the husky after a few days.
  13. Hi! My name is Heather and I just became a proud owner of a little male siberian husky named KOBA. I found this site when I was researching huskies before making our purchase. He has only been in our house a few days but is adapting well and is a very energetic & noisy little guy. I look forward to chatting with you all.
