hes about 9 1/2 weeks. yeah i would really think it's cool if they stayed this way. both eyes are parti-eyes. how unique is that!? im curious to see pics of the green too

i agree they are pretty expensive. i need to online browse and see if i find any cheaper.

a husky can adapt to warmer weather but he's never going to be a hot weather dog. he has too much fur. Def. not the breed for all of that in 90 degree weather

i don't take my luka out in the hot humid weather here until its after evening and it's cooled off some. Mornings are also okay. If it's hot for me, its WAY too hot for him.

Luka's eyes have changed with the blue getting lighter and the brown getting darker too. I'm still puzzled to what color they will be. Lately they don't seem to be changing so they may stay this way. green parti-eye? that'd be awesome

yes, but it is as simple as the breeder should NEVER have let the numbers of dogs increase to over 60. He is responsible for that completely.

his coloring reminds me a lot of lukas. the mask and the eyes are a little different but everything else looks similar.

unfortunately they did have to put 3 to sleep. 2 happened on site, 1 back at the humane society.

I agree. The only reason i said that in the first place was experience. I've been there when people have stopped my mother and asked to use our male lab. Like i said before, she decided she didn't want to breed him. She literally has a stack of business cards from people who said to call them if she changed her mind. Maybe it's just the area i live in, but that's what happens here.

I def agree with having him neutered. Like I said before my parents never did with their lab and it's made him just a wild as a husky off a lead. Lol luka will be neutered as soon as he's old enough.

So we've come a long way just in a short time with the whole biting and chewing. He no longer attempts to chew on furniture or my hand constantly. He still tries to bite the crap out of me sometimes but he knows better and when i say NO he stops for the most part. I've started working with him for simple commands, he can sit perfectly. We're now working on stay and shake. I've also started walking him with his harness and he is doing REALLY well with that. doesn't pull hardly, (like most huskies he decides he wants a burst of speed every now and then) LOL but for the most part he's doing so good. now with all of that said there is just one big problem... POTTY TRAINING. i am not kidding you i could sit outside for an hour and he won't go to the bathroom. the second we come inside it's all over my room. He has the occasional accident in his crate but for the most part, it stays clean. Here's the other thing, i took him over to my parents house and he didn't have one accident in the house. Mind you, we were outside A LOT so that could have a thing or two to do with it. I know it's difficult potty training him in an apartment in the first place but we're only in here for one more month till we will be in a house with a nice big backyard. The thing is though, I'm worried if we wait till then to potty train him it will be too late. p.s. I am using stain remover for the urine/poop and it contains the enzyme/whatever that is supposed to prevent them from peeing in the same spot. He just pees right next to it. UGHHH... any advice?

orijen is HIGHLY recommended. If Luka didn't like TOTW, i would put him on that. Still a possibility when i switch him to puppy food to Adult breed food. Orijen is given a 5 star rating. never heard of the others.
