That's def. a possibility. Every time I go visit my family in Alabama I swear I sound 100x more redneck. LOL My accent has also gotten worse since I moved from Memphis, TN to Southaven, MS. Everybody in Southaven is just a "little bit" more southern and my accent reflects that. I've always drug my words out though, that's the first give away that i'm from the south.
I went to MN a few years ago and i'll just say it was an experience! everyone wanted to hear me talk. I get comments on my accent down here in the south. I can't hide the twang. haha. And actually my mother is "accent-less". It's very unusual to hear her speak.
okay, okay, so i know there are about a million threads relating to feeding but i'm still totally lost. i'm a first time husky owner and my last dog was a lab (he ate a TON!) so please help me out.
Luka is 7 weeks basically and weighs 8.4 lbs.
I've been feeding him three times a day and obviously i was overfeeding him at first. I could tell because his stools were very runny. I've been decreasing the amount I feed him and now they are very firm. My worry is that now i'm not feeding him enough. I know he will scarf down his food no matter what but that's what makes it SO HARD!!
Also, he has horrible gas which i see can be related to overfeeding. I should also probably mention that unfortunately he is on Purina puppy chow (breeder had him on it) and I was letting him get settled in before i switched his food. I know this is going to throw his digestive system out of wack so i really want to make sure i'm feeding him the right amount when i start mixing it tomorrow.
Thanks again for everyones advice! yall have been so helpful. my boyfriend also finds it hilarious that i spout off random husky knowledge simply because of this forum. haha
i'd love one! mine are always so plain because im an amateur.
Name: Luka
Colors: Green (any shades but i really like hunter green to match his collar )
Pics: choose whatever from below
Luka will NOT stop digging/playing in his waterbowl !!!! If he doesn't have his face in it throwing water everywhere, he has his paws in it digging like crazy. I feel like this is a bad habit I should nip in the bud. I'm still not exactly sure how to discourage this behavior. It's extremely hard to say No in a serious matter since after he does it he runs like a maniac and slides everywhere because his paws are soaked. Any tips?
Also how long did it take most of you to potty train your pup? He's only 7 weeks and i feel like we've made great progress in the past few days but I want to make sure we're right on schedule of things.
I never thought I could spoil someone as much as I've spoiled luka this week. My boyfriend has informed me I've ruined him lol. I just can't help it he's my little baby happy husky = happy human
He's finally home! He was a little stressed last night since everything was so new but I woke up to a hyper sweet boy. He LOVES to cuddle and play in his waterbowl here's a few pics!!
