from personal experience unless you're working with a rescue and pulling the dog from the shelter they're are not going to want to make the adoption process any more difficult. The Humane Society might be different, as we usually only pull from kill-shelters. Sadly, many huskies wind up being BACK at the shelter due to bad owners or just owners with inexperience. i'd say the best thing you could do (if they refuse, which they might) is to EDUCATE. cross post dogs on facebook (if you have one) and make yourself available to give information, whether it be your own personal struggles with Balto, training tips, etc. Some people will listen, some won't but it does help.
