  1. i don't see how that is necessarily true as males and females are different sizes. i read online that: the males of the breed are ideally between 21 and 23.5 inches (53 and 60 cm) tall at the withers and weighing between 45 and 60 pounds (20 and 27 kg). Females are smaller, growing to between 20 to 22 inches (51 to 56 cm) tall at the withers and weighing between 35 to 50 pounds (16 to 23 kg)
  2. Doesn't look overweight to me but then again i have a skinny husky so i think anything remotely like him looks underweight. he only weighs 43 lbs.
  3. can't wait to see how big she is lol
  4. Can't offer much help here as my husky is skinny in general. i wouldn't give any extra kibble or it'll make her sick. i'd prob just stick to normal feeding and she'll slowly gain it back. plus you can give her extra treats.
  5. every picture i'm holding them hahah the hats didn't last. they both refused to look happy in them as well.
  6. won't get her till today now. her transport was late yesterday so she didn't get to me in time. she is apparently very submissive though and just a big playful puppy so i don't think we're going to have any problems. i think a submissive female is what i need for mine.
  7. we have rugby here too... it's completely different than football lol
  8. i was just about to quote that! haha thanks
  9. they hated the hats lol exp. knox which isn't surprising bc he hates everything lol
  10. haha i'm not that talented... no i bought it at three dog bakery. it's a local dog bakery... it's an awesome place and it wasn't expensive at all
  11. its the size that makes me nervous haha. luka is a small husky so he's not hard to handle
  12. not sure about the dripping but it turning pink could be a snow nose. It's common in Huskies and mine has one as well. find more here: http://vetmedicine.about.com/od/diseasesconditionsfaqs/f/snow_nose.htm
  13. apparently she isn't aware that she's huge, she thinks she's small and that was an issue for the family. and she isn't good with little dogs or toddlers as she knocks them down on accident.
  14. what idiots. i would've done the same.
  15. Just thought I'd start a thread about my adventures while fostering... As you all know Sera didn't work out in our home. She is doing quite well at her foster home right now and will hopefully be adopted soon. I get my new foster tonight. Her name is Roxy and she is an 8 month old Mally weighing in at 78lbs. If she wasn't pulled she was to be euthanized today as she was an owner surrender. They said she was too big. So she's coming to stay with me for awhile. Haha This should be interesting... Will post pictures later
  16. agreed completely. when i say chunky i def mean more bulky with muscle. i still like to seem them toned. i also like the blocky head.
