Well I've never attached a lead to Luka's collar. He's had a harness from like day 1. I've noticed when I'm guiding him with his collar he jerks around and acts like a maniac. I don't pull his collar really it's more like when he's muddy and i'm guiding him from the backdoor to the bathroom to get rinsed off in the tub. Saturday night Josh was leading him to the bathroom and he turned around and bit Josh's hand. And I mean bit hard, like broke the skin and Josh has a pretty nasty cut on his hand. Obviously I wasn't there to see if Josh was yanking on his collar too hard (which wouldn't surprise me) but I have noticed how Luka panics when you grab his collar. Not to mention, Luka has been a little aggressive since Sera was here. I've been working on it and he's been acting much better. My question is how do i work on him with his fear of his collar being touched? and any idea why he's bothered by it in the first place? I'm thinking because we never touch his collar? He's never been abused or anything... and he LOVES his harness. He runs to the door when i hold it up and patiently waits for me to put it on him.

I have Sprint so i have unlimited everything. i love it.

i don't compromise on anything when it comes to Luka tbh. He's my dog and with or without Josh he will still be MY dog. That may sound selfish but i feel like i deserve to be selfish when i'm the one who has put all the work in. Don't get me wrong, Josh loves Luka but he's just different with him than I am. Our major disagreement is how to discipline Luka. I won't lie i'm pretty laid back but then again Luka doesn't really misbehave for me.

it does get better. Josh and I used to argue over Luka multiple times a week. Now, we rarely do. lol The puppy stage takes a lot out of people.

i'm afraid i'm no help. Luka will eat a cat if he can catch one. I'm allergic so we will never own one not to mention i'm just not that fond of them. lol no offense i would think though that there must be a way to train them to live in harmony as many people here do it.

my boyfriend and myself are like that. he doesn't train the way i do and in consequence Luka doesn't listen to him at all. We decided to get Luka together but it had wound up where he has Knox and i have Luka. Really, i've tried discussing it with him more than once with no change. I just don't bother anymore, Luka minds me and that's all that matters. It does bother me sometimes that I'm the one who gets up in the mornings with them, i'm the one who walks them, the one who takes them places, etc. but what's the point in arguing? lol i think a lot of times people are in this position.

Mine aren't aggressive about food now they struggled at first though. However when it comes to bones Luka will snarl and snap if Knox gets too close. If they keep on I take the bone away.

Luka does a high pitches scream, he howls, and he grumbles. Lol if he's been crated and I let him out he doesn't shut up he tells me all about his day! Lol

generally anything with vodka. i also like margaritas. at home i rarely drink because i'm more of a social drinker but if i do it's usually vodka, water, splash of sprite, and a lime

are you already drunk? lol

be around what you're allergic to. you can condition yourself to some things which makes your allergies less severe. and medication or just deal with it.

So i bought the WYDWL and it's great for walks but i really want to buy Luka another harness. i think Molly is rubbing off on me? Looking at either Julius K9 or Manmat? Also i want a new basic collar and lead for Luka. i know indi dogs has plenty so i can look there. they do solid colors right? i hate most prints. if you have pics of your dogs in their gear i'd love to see!

when i had Sera here i had to crate her and Luka to stop fights so i think you did the right thing.

i'm allergic to cats (like severely, gives me asthma attacks) but not dogs. occasionally i will get a hair in my eye or nose and get a sneeze attack and my eyes will swell. it only happens sometimes so i just write it off. it's not all the time. i think some people just have bad allergies and anything can cause a flare up.

I'd wait until Balto is older IMO. We rescued our pitbull a few months ago and Luka was well over 6 months. I love Knox and he's great but its exhausting having two puppies still basically. Remember, Balto will still be a "puppy" even up to a year old.

I don't let Luka off lead except in enclosed areas. I'm not risking losing him. He's way too important to me. I'd rather be safe than sorry.

Well sera is leaving us in about 20 minutes!! However we may be getting a new foster Monday. This time were doing an off site meet and greet! His name is Nikko and he's 4! The rescue got him as a Puppy from a mill and his adopter can no longer keep him so he's up for adoption again. He's great with other dogs so hopefully it will work out. I'm much more positive about another male.
