  1. i think a younger male would be the best addition to my pack. i think i am scared of females forever haha. and luka is so obnoxious younger would be better so they don't get annoyed with his hyperness
  2. i just tell Luka No in a stern voice. Occasionally I have to pull him with his harness and get him focused on something else. lol I only watch out for it because it can lead to dog fights with dominant dogs. I've seen it happen multiple times.
  3. looks normal to me. lol you can tell when it gets too much trust me lol
  4. both of their hackles were up during these incidents. Hers were worse than Lukas too.
  5. I can definitely tell the difference now that i've been dealing with this. i will never worry about Luka being too rough with Knox again haha ooh Also, forgot to mention that her bad behavior is starting to rub off on Luka. Last night he was laying down next to me and knox came up to him. (these dogs literally step on eachother, roll on eachother, anything with no issue) and he started growling at him and showing his teeth. He got a stern NO from me and immediately stopped and was fine but i will not be tolerating bad behavior just because he saw Sera acting that way! sheesh!
  6. i think she needs to be an only dog tbh
  7. luka humps things and he's never humped me. like i said i only discourage it if we're at the dog park and he attempts it
  8. well it's to the point where luka's not even bothering her. he walks by her and she snaps and snarls at him. she's an amazing dog too. i was hoping it'd work out and i could adopt her lol. she will make someone an excellent pet. she doesn't even have to be crated. she doesn't mess up ANYTHING.

    Feel Bad!

I always say yes .... Lol and I hate it
  10. she doesn't. i spoke to the rescue though and they think she will do better with older dogs so they're coming to get her tonight. they told me to keep separating them to keep all dogs safe.
  11. shes 2 years and 3 months old. her owner left her in a backyard all the time and she had escaped 4 times probably because she was so bored and had no interaction. She seems to be scared of any loud noise or if my OH yells (not at her like he yelled my name the other day because i was in the other room and she freaked) she came right up to him with her ears back and licking him like apologizing. really weird. i think she was abused as well honestly.
  12. i just feel bad because it's been 2 days and it's already this bad!!!
  13. I've already contacted the director. She's worked with huskies for 17 years so she will know how to handle it.
  14. mine eat at 7:15am M-F and pretty much whenever we get up on Saturdays and Sundays. I'm lucky to have sleepy dogs who will sleep till 10-11am without wanting to eat.
  15. lol it's normal. Luka actually started humping before that believe it or not. He also humps Knox all the time and he's neutered. No big deal, dogs hump. The only time i discourage it is if he's humping other dogs because it can start a fight.
  16. yeah i know! it was play at first, they were jumping around like loons and playing. Now Luka gets near her and she wants to bite him. It doesn't help that he doesn't seem to take her warning growls seriously and just keeps on until she about rips his head off. My biggest worry is that Knox is still only 4-5 months old and a baby. She was so gentle with him at first and really liked him (more than Luka) and now she does the same thing to him as well. That's what makes me think something is wrong.
  17. Well the rescue seems concerned. Shes calling me around 12:30 when she gets a chance. She was at her house with 6 other huskies and she didn't have any of these issues. Sigh. I'm so stressed out.
  18. I don't give Luka full out baths but he gets muddy ALL the time so i rinse off his feet in the tub without Shampoo. lol It keeps my house and furniture from having little muddy pawprints yet doesn't damage his coat. He only gets a fullout bath if he like rolled in poop or something as gross as that is. haha
  19. Well Luka is tucking his tail and running away from her. She's pulling out big fluffs of hair everytime she bites him.
  20. Okay so it's definitely not playing. She was in her crate and Luka walked by her and she started snarling and going nuts. It's to the point if either of them gets near her she freaks out and wants to fight. I'm beginning to wonder if she's hurt or not feeling well? I do know she escaped her crate yesterday so i'm wondering if she hurt herself. I checked her over and nothing seems to bother her though. I left her out today in a separate room because she's not destructive but i didn't want to leave her out in the main living room in case Luka decided to get out and i'd have a full out fight when i'm not home. I've already called the rescue for them to come help me. I need serious help training her or she's seriously going to have to move to another foster home. My dogs can't even walk around their own house without getting snapped at. I just feel so horrible for this dog because I can tell she was abused and the poor thing spent the last 2 years of her life locked in a backyard. It's just not fair for us to continue the way i have it right now because she's not getting the attention she deserves. I'm having to separate them at all times and I feel horrible. The OH slept on the couch with her last night because she can't be in the bed with the other ones and she hates her crate. I hope the rescue can help me.
  21. True I think the only reason they haven't though is because Luka isn't dominant. She scares me a little not because of me but for Luka. I'm trying to be nervous though or they'll know
  22. Maybe ill try that. I want to help her but Luka and Knox are my first priority.
  23. Interesting. I just don't know when enough is enough. I've never dealt with a female before so I'm new to this lol
