Luka isn't aggressive. He's more submissive. He doesn't exactly roll over but he stops and waits for the other dog to figure him out. Luka has had other dogs over in "his" space quite often and no issues. Lol it did! We've just had dogs in and out of our house with no problems. My thing is Luka gets hyper when he sees other dogs. I don't worry about him being the bully, i worry he might get bit if he just jumps right in her face!

we're meeting in my backyard. shes going to bring her around back and then i'll take my two idiots out one at a time. question: luka is very inconsiderate of other dog's personal space so should i bring him out on a leash so he doesn't just run right up to her?

6 months for Luka. and then we started training class where our trainer worked on him with it too

Sera is coming for her home visit today which I'm not worried about! She will stay with me if everything goes as planned. I'm so nervous! Any advice for a first time foster? I've also never dealt with a female, I've always had males!

i don't think it's wrong to breed. i agree fully, without breeders we would no longer have the beautiful siberian husky. the US has a SERIOUS problem with overpopulation of dogs/strays. "Approximately 5 million to 7 million companion animals enter animal shelters nationwide every year, and approximately 3 million to 4 million are euthanized (60 percent of dogs and 70 percent of cats). Shelter intakes are about evenly divided between those animals relinquished by owners and those picked up by animal control. These are national estimates; the percentage of euthanasia may vary from state to state" - ASPCA THIS is why I don't see myself purchasing another dog, because I can't sit by any longer and not help the problem. The more dogs that are adopted, the less that are euthanized. I'm sure you can relate owning a rescue, i just don't know the differences of our countries.

oh i will! i'm so nervous LOL they told me she was pretty bossy but they think she'll do great with mine because they're both loons who do will probably do whatever she wants them to haha

yeah it is pretty difficult. Luckily, i have a fenced in backyard so it wasn't that hard for me. the rules are strict though. however, if you actually speak with the rescue a lot it gets easier because they know you. I'm actually about to start working with Hogan's Husky Heroes (our local rescue) passing out pamphlets to the local shelters and other things. that makes it easier to foster/adopt!

i worry about that with Sera ... lol she's so beautiful. we will have to see how she does with my two idiots. LOL she's bossy so i hear which is just what they need

I spoil Luka rotten I'm ashamed to admit. He's just so cute and such a Mommas boy that I can't help it. He gets cuddles, sleeps in the bed, basically whatever he wants... Lol ooops

Lol I wouldn't worry. Luka talks to me about everything. I tell him to sit he talks back, I ask him if he wants a treat he talks, etc. huskies are known to be loud lol Luka always barked as a puppy he does sometimes now but more wooing and talking now

Totally agree. Luckily Luka likes all large dogs so I'm good, but I totally understand because Luka will always come first.

No I don't regret buying Luka as he's my special boy but there are too many huskies out there without homes not to mention I don't want a puppy ever again. The rescue I'm fostering for said they have breeders contact them all te time to take the puppies that don't get sold. She has a five month old pup right now as well. I guess I forgot to mention I rescued Knox but he's not a husky

Bought Luka as I was uneducated about the major problem of homeless animals. I'm fostering my first, a female names Sera beginning on Wednesday!! My next will all be rescues!

Luka doesn't blow that much. Thought he was but his back is the only thing thinned out. Lol he looks weird bc his tail is so fluffy ....
