Agreed. It makes me sick that these places are allowed to continue. They should all be shut down. Consumers are the only way to end it. When Americans stop buying the puppies mills will go out of business. Luka was very interested too though lol....

I watches this documentary tonight. I would never purchase a dog from a pet store anyways but it really gave me a further insight into mills. Very good watch. Very sad but anyone who doesn't know the damage mills cause to dogs should watch.

That's horrible. Poor girl. I know it's expensive but maybe a large fenced in inclosure or even something harder to get out of than an electric fence. I would never be able to use one with mine all it takes is a brave run through it and they're free.

Backyard breeders will never go away with the way things are currently. There are no laws that prevent them from breeding. It's a shame because people that otherwise wouldn't be able to own one get them for next to nothing and wind up being improper owners. I don't think there is any way to avoid this right now. I do think that if we go around telling potential owners to only buy a show-quality husky we might be potentially harming rescue rates. I will never buy another puppy, and i honestly mean that. If i had known then what i know now, i never would've purchased a puppy in the first place. What we can do is try our best to inform any individual that might comment on how beautiful our dog is how much work they are! I know anytime someone tells me how beautiful Luka is i thank them and add but he's A LOT of work. We can also continue to help those rescues to find suitable homes whether it be our own, or someone we know would be a good fit.

i think it was more like a law enforcement friend of the finder that got involved. i know it's awesome that he is heartworm negative... i see so many positive pups around here it's sad. so Hooray for him!

Pacific Stream Puppy. however, his stomach seems to be a lot stronger now. he can eat pretty much whatever so it may not be a big deal. i feed him chicken and fish sometimes and he has no issues.

they can't actually speak with them. law enforcement got involved and discovered that the family had moved to colorado. on other news, he was taken to the vet, heartworm negative, and is now happily adopted into his new home to spend the rest of his golden years! they also think he is husky/chow mix. and oh i was going to handle him alright hoping it'd convince the boyfriend to let me have my second husky. i've already told him if i see one available in the local shelters, i'm not even asking. haha

lol clam... lol..... i call it by the normal words. only because i would feel like a child saying "bits" or "private parts" not to mention bits is def not an american thing hahah. however, i do agree i never say i need to urinate. it would be more i need to pee. i just use a flat collar as well. it's kept very loose as to not pull on Luka's fur. I just use it to keep his identification. We use a harness for walks so it's not really necessary for any other reason than id.

see i had Luka on TOTW and it gave him the runs. and i wasn't overfeeding him either. it's like it was too high in protein for him. i tried it out for months and it didn't get any better. that's the whole reason i switched to fromms. and yeah, i was thinking it was all-ages but then i remembered i had bought puppy for Luka and i was confused haha. so bottom line i'm not sure that he could handle eating it...

they located the owners and they had moved away. looks like they left him

Luka will be a year old before i know it time sure does fly. anyways i have both him and Knox on fromms gold large breed puppy. Well if i have to i could keep knox on fromms and switch just Luka but for cost reason it is obviously cheaper to keep them on the same food. What are some good All-ages foods? And i want grain-free, Luka couldn't stomach it as a puppy but i have a feeling he will be fine now. and Knox can well eat anything haha.

Elvis Presley is from Memphis and his house still remains there open for tours. Also, the home of Sun Records which recorded many famous musicians. On a sadder note Martin Luther King Jr. Was shot and killed at the Lorraine Motel and its also open for tours. Actually most Memphians have never visited Graceland, myself included. I have been to the Lorraine motel though, it's very somber but interesting.

Haven't left Luka but with my boyfriend which is different considering he owns him too. I'm paranoid about leaving him, he's never been away from one of us and our next vacation is planned where we can take both of ours.

Pineapple works or the pills from the vet. I must admit Luka was a poop eater. Lol it was gross but after a week it cleared up.

I had the biggest issue with Luka popping in his crate. In talking like every day I'd come home and there would be a huge mess. That thing about dogs not wanting to eliminate in their beds did not apply to him! Eventually the only way I got it to stop was allowing him more time outside before I crated him. I'm talking like an hour extra time every morning. (He's pretty much only crated when I'm at work)
