i had a hard time getting used to the smaller amounts of food. I felt like i wasn't feeding him enough but Luka had such a sensitive stomach if i gave him even a little bit extra it would make his stools runny. A cup is 8 ounces. However, There is not an international agreement on the the standard size of an actual cup. Thus the volumes range between (200 — 250 ml) in the metric system. Every dog varies but around 4 months I think Luka was only getting around 1 1/2 cups..

as hard as it is huskies really do eat small amounts. Luka only eats 2 cups right now and he's 10 months old

i always use a harness, it's never slipped off Luka before like a collar would. Right now we're using the WYDWL harness and it seems pretty secure. Luka has gotten out three times and i've almost had a heart attack all three times. the first two times we've been at home and he's slipped out the front door when a friend was over or mowed someone over to get out. Luckily both times a neighbor was out and he ran straight to them. Our neighbors love him so they aren't scared and i shouted to them to grab his collar. They did and he was taken back inside. The last time it happened we were visiting my boyfriend's mother for Christmas at her house. She lives around 2 1/2 hours away and we were staying the night so we took the dogs with us. HORRIBLE. Luka about knocked Josh's mom down and bolted out the door. I was actually taking a nap and got woken up by Josh telling me Luka was gone. I literally burst into tears and went outside to try to find him. Josh's mom was already following him and trying to tell him to come. I yelled lets go inside Luka in a high pitched voice and once he realized it was me he bolted right to me and came inside. I work with him on recall quite often and it's been discovered that i'm about the only person he will come to on command. With that being said i would never trust him off lead and try my hardest to not be put into those situations.

I went ahead and bought a large crate and just sectioned it off. That way you only have to purchase one crate. mines 42" by something. its not the largest, but one right below it.

everyone i've talked to like's one or the other. i'm leaning towards nikon because most of my personal friends prefer it. so confusing... ahhh

Luka was fine at home by himself. He was my only dog until about 2 months ago. It did completely change my lifestyle when i got him though. I no longer go out all night long and leave him crated, i'd feel too guilty. He's a commitment that's for sure. He's done great with Knox and they LOVE eachother. I think it keeps them entertained when i'm gone. Even though they're both crated they can look at eachother. Luka is still fine if i have to leave him at home and take Knox somewhere. Know on the other hand, not so much.

yeah i looked at the canon rebel but haven't seen one under 700 dollars here.... a little more expensive than i was thinking. the nikon comes with two lenses for 500
