really? luka doesn't lift his leg but he does mark things. he's about to go have some work done on his man parts though

then josh couldn't believe that i wasn't mad at Luka but instead at him for being so irresponsible! my poor baby didn't want to be locked in the house by himself.

I've heard female dogs are a lot more moody. I've never owned anything but males. They are fun! I just recommend neutering them to avoid aggression.

i don't consider my dog dirty in all honesty. i wash my hands if im about to cook or something after i touch him, but i would do the same regardless if i touched him or not. I have never hosed my dog off after he uses the potty and i don't hose myself off after i go to the restroom either. I find that very unusual (no offense to you) just because no one here does that. I wash my hands constantly because of germs and i shower every day but i did that before i owned Luka. The only change i've had to live with is the hair. I don't find it "dirty" but it does get on my nerves sometimes. We vacuum and dust a lot more than we used to abut that's really the only change. Also, sorry if this is gross but if i find a piece of hair in my drink or food, i pick it out and keep on going. It's my dog, i feel as though he is clean, probably a lot more clean than you think. Not to mention huskies are very hygenic and lick themselves clean all the time. Not to mention, humans are pretty dirty as well. I can't tell you how many people don't even bother washing their hands after they use the restroom. Then they continue to touch doorknobs, doors, etc. and then you touch it and the germs spread. Just something to think about...

all pets are leashed at our vets too. i mean it's a smaller office but ive been to several vets in the past and never seen pets running around

random animals running around? lol. never heard of a vet quite like that. our vet was highly recommended to us by close friends. i made an appointment there for just a regular check up for the day after i picked up Luka. When we first walked in it was very clean, organized, and everyone was super friendly. They all gushed over Luka and everyone was just really professional and nice. We met our Vet who happens to own a Husky x GSD cross which def. made me more comfortable. He was very thorough as he examined my puppy. Ever since then we've loved him! Luka doesn't mind going to the vet at all, he enjoys it. He gets excited when he sees the male vet tech there because he loves him. lol As i add another dog to my family, i will be taking him there as well. It's just someone i feel safe taking my pets. You should feel that when you take your pet somewhere.

Luka is that skinny but he's only 7 months old. I think he will fill out as he gets older but i think he'll always be on the thinner side. Have you spoken with your vet regarding her weight? My vet usually lets me know when Luka is a little too thin.

no i'm kind of getting annoyed because they told me they would call me and they haven't. i'd rather them call me and say no than just not call at all.

if it doesn't happen with this one, i'm just going to keep looking. i'm completely decided on rescuing. i can't do another puppy right now LOL

luka will knock your glass off the coffee table in a heartbeat if left unattended! he's a fan of our traditional "sweet tea"

yes the seeds can be poisonous so i remove them before hand. Luka is a food snob to a point, where he refuses to eat cheap things. it's so embarrassing when people try to give him treats at the pet store or vets and he spits them out. lol i guess because i feed him grain free treats. oh i didn't even think about bananas i'll try that next! as for the carrots, he rarely gets stuff like this but it's a nice treat when he does so i wanted to have more options.

I gave luka one tonight and he loved it! What are some other tasty treats to give to my boy? So far he likes broccoli, carrots, and apples.
