  1. God, how do you cope I tend to stay clear of retail areas during the 3-4 month "Christmas Period"
  2. I haven't actually noticed anything too Christmassy yet, just the tins of Roses and Quality Street on offer like every year and the odd pack of cards, but I know there is more out there haha. I saw a doggy advent calender today though at the vets for £5.00. Was tempted, but no toooo sooon.
  3. I think the hype of it all is too early, I will shop all year for Christmas, if I see something I think someone will like I will get it whether its January, July or December. The decorations and marketing of Christmas is horrible, spoils the fun of it all. What happened to 12 days of Christmas, won't be long until it's 12 months of Christmas -.-
  4. A short clip of Cody pulling the other half
  5. Come to think of it not only does Cody have the three lines on his tag he also has a pull out label in his 3 peaks collar with another phone number and full address too. He is super tagged :lolman:
  6. Cody has last name postcode and a contact number. I'm sure it looks cute with the dogs name, but it is safer just in case of dog theft, in the short term anyway, as Bluewolf states after a while s/he will probably respond to another name given time, but every second you can prevent that the better, IMO anyway.
  7. Good luck Shaun! You won't regret bringing a Sibe home, although your hoover might do
  8. He looks and sounds awesome, we rescued ours and he is the most loving dog ever! all they need is the love they deserve and by the sounds of it you're going to give it to him From Rew, Dakotas adopted mummy
  9. Cody went to visit mummy Kerrys parents and was very well behaved Bearing in mind she doesn't like dogs, she seems perfectly fine giving him a fuss and a cuddle
  10. Welcome to the forum, I've not long joined myself after adopting a 5 year old boy and I'm no expert, however the fact you will be home for lunch is good, like previous commenters, many of us have 9-5 jobs and own one or more huskies. This shouldn't be a problem as long as when you are home you give him/her plenty of exercise, if you don't that's when they start being naughty and chewing on sofas digging up the garden and what have you. Maybe you could invest in a cage for while you are away, don't lock him in straight away but leave the door open and gently encourage the pup in, let him make it his safe haven, NOT a punishment. Start closing the cage door for a few minutes at a time, just get him used to it. Then when you are at work/shopping or whatever you know he is safe and so is your house. I would suggest at least thinking about adopting an adult, I too wanted a puppy, but the reward you get from giving an unfortunate Sibe a loving home is tenfold. Either way, pup or adult I wish you all the best Shaun.
  11. Searched Husky owners forum on google and this came up on top.
  12. Thanks for the welcoming guys, yeah the previous owners told us he was a husky, but when we went to collect him his size gave it away at first, not wanting to say anything about it, but they did eventually say he's part Mute. Your two are gorgeous Andy. Cody really is perfect though, he isn't very well behaved, obediance wise, but he somehow gets away with being a bit slow by being so cute. Even in the first 24 hours of having him here though we are seeing improvments with his recall which is good.
  13. Thanks Vlad, he is fantastic we love him here. Makes the home more homely
  14. Came downstairs to find Cody had managed to find a pig ear, happily chewing on it on the decking.
