Update on sasha she is booked in next week for her surgery soooooo not looking forward to the day I know it's for her own good but that's a whole day without my baby girl ill be a mess the day can't come quick enough though she is starting to scratch her mouth a lot over the last 2-3 days.

I had my girl on her own with my cat for 2years she hated being alone I couldn't do anything for about 5-6months after I got her from the pound think she thought I was going to leave her. But she started to calm down after that still howled a bit when I went out only to jump on me when I walked in the door lol now that she is in a proper house she has free run I don't lock her up she sits in the window until I go out of sight then she does what ever she does (sleeps on my bed from what I can tell) lol I wouldn't know about the age part as when I got her she was about 1-2 I think depending on whether I go by her papers or the pound lol as for destructive the only thing she does is rip up the tissues if she can get to them haha not sure if that's much help

Haha yeah sasha loves the tramp her and dozer play on it all the time now she refused to go near it at first. I think she wanted the net off though she kept jumping through it instead of using the door haha so the nets not on it now.

I didn't think of that thanks ill ask when I ring up to book her in and I might see if she can take her favourite toy with her she loves laying on her Xmas penguin lol I've had to do that with a family dog a few years ago except we went back to get her and were told the worse news I think I've ever had to hear about an animal we've had (our dog had bone cancer and broke her leg and she passed away a week later ) it's so different with sasha though as she is my dog and no one else's I'm dreading the day I have to drop her off but I can't let sasha see me cry while there she hates it when I cry

Thanks she doesn't normally give a warning when she goes to bite specially when she is scared like she is at the vets she just looks over her shoulder the lunges towards what ever is closest and I'm worried that it might be there face all the vets and vet nurses there know what she's like though so hopefully she will be ok I keep being told to take her to the vet that's closer to where I live but I don't know them and sasha has only been there once and that was for her paw when she cut it open. My family have been going to this vet for 15-20yrs now and there awesome there

Sasha had her spay op a week after i got her, she didn't do to bad but she hated being there and was scared so I'm kind of panicing about her maybe biting someone because she's scared when she went in before the vets said she was good but wouldn't go near anyone and snapped at them like a warning bite if they kept trying, I got there to pick her up and she pretty much ran out of the place lol I just hope she will be ok this time round and she will be ok with me when she comes home they said she should only be there for a day so she doesn't she too stressed out so I was happy about that part.

We went to the vet and they don't know what it is so sasha has to have surgery next week to remove it and I had a choice to send it to the lab to see what it is or not I am choosing to send it off even though it will cost a couple of hundred to do so but I want to know what it is so if it ever comes back I know what it is my poor baby hates small spaces so she is going to hate me for doing this to her I can't help but cry because I know it's going to stress her out and she is going to be so scared

So I'm taking sasha to the vet tonight because isn't herself at all she hasn't eaten much in the last two days she gets like that sometimes but I give her roo steaks and she will eat them no matter what but she only ate not even a quarter of it last night, diaherria (sorry if I spelt it wrong), sleeping a lot more then normally and she's getting snappy which isn't like her she is only like that when she is sick or in pain I finally got a photo of her mouth it's not a very good photo as its taken with my phone. They will more then likely have to sedate her to get a look at it if they need too I'm so scared and worried that it will be something bad I shouldn't be working myself up about it but I can't help it she's my baby any ideas on what it could be? It's getting bigger I'm not sure if it hurt her or she just didnt like my finger in her mouth when I felt it its soft but a little bit hard in some sections.

That's what it's like around here to with glass and some times needles and stuff like that the section I live in is ok but where I walk her to is a bit how's it going when it comes to that sort of stuff and if she treads on a needles or something that I don't see I'll never forgive myself if anything happens to her because of it. I was looking around at what ones I could get the ones I posted were the most popular that come up but I found some other ones similar to the ones on that site but they were still $50au not sure what that equals to for you guys but like you suggested its a lot of money if she is not going to wear them or destroys them lol.

I think that's what there mainly used for and police/military dogs or people that like to dress up there dogs (poor dogs) lol

Sasha has a lump that comes and goes on the side of her tongue when she pants it comes out when she isn't panting its not there its getting bigger I asked the vet about it but because sasha won't let the vet near her it's hard for them to say what it is. I tried to feel it without her realising I put my finger in her mouth but I only just touched it was sort of soft but sort of hard. To me it looks kind of like the blood vessel but I'm not sure i tried to get a pic but it wouldn't work ill try again with my other camera and see if it comes out has anyone else experienced this or seen this before? It's got me worried as it sits over her tooth and I don't know if she will bite it

Hi all sorry if this is in the wrong section wasn't sure where to put it. I've been looking at getting sasha some dog boots for when we go for walks so she doesn't hurt her paws on anything. She has already had a vet visit a mth or so ago when she cut her paw open and had to be sedated to have 10 stitches put in she hated it and she doesn't like the vet what so ever I don't want to put her through that again. Has anyone got dog boots for there dog? And what's your opinion of them? These are similar to the ones I was looking at http://waggle.com.au/ruffwear-b1/bark-n-boots-polar-trex-boots-for-dogs-p585 not even sure if sasha would wear them but with the amount of stuff on the grounds around here that can cut her paws open I want to try them as I'm very worried about taking her out for walks just in case something happens to her

I do understand what your all saying and that's what the first thought I had was I know it's her instinct and now there only have about an hour some times a bit less of supervised time together a day then the rabbit goes in the bathroom for a bit and when sasha goes out the back the rabbit comes out again they take turns during the day to come inside and play then the rabbit goes to bed when we have dinner. Sasha isn't really bothered with the rabbit now she only pays attention to the rabbit if someone goes near her which is what she does with all animals big or small. And thank you all for your advice and care I do appreciate it a lot.

As I said in my other post the first one I made that I forgot about lol they are never alone together they were in the next room for about 10mins with me in the next and nothing happened. If she gets to rough she won't be aloud near the rabbit I would like sasha to be able to be with the rabbit but I know that will never happen she is good with other small animals just takes her a week or so to get use to it she doesn't like anything or anyone near me or in what she thinks is her house until she gets use to them or it i always think about what sasha could do to Dakota everyone must think I'm stupid for allowing them to be with each other but I want sasha to be around all my animals not just the dogs and cat so she knows what they are she hasn't had the best life and I just want to give her the best life I can. If sasha gets rough or anything towards the rabbit they won't be allowed together

Ended up naming her Dakota and so far sasha has been good ill never leave them alone together I did think about it when I said I wanted a rabbit again to my partner and sasha is good with other small animals just takes a week or so for her to get use to the idea of a new animal being anywhere near me and "her" house. If she does get a hold of the rabbit would should I do? Whether she kills it or just hurts it I know it's in her instinct to chase and kill things like rabbits I know exactly what my partners family will say they will try and make me put her to sleep but being in her natural instinct I wouldn't do it and then they'd say they will never come near my dog again and I'll say good lol but I don't care what they say......

Dakota is calm around her she lays down when sasha goes to lick her once sasha moves her nose Dakota gets up looks at sasha and go about her business I left them to make some food for about 10mins and nothing happened I wouldn't leave them alone for any longer then that though and if I need to do anything Dakota goes in the bathroom or in her cage.

Haha I was a bit scared at first but I figured better to put them together so she knows what it is then destroy the garage door to get to Dakota when sasha goes out to toilet at night lol
