  1. welcome to the forum :)

  2. Dog food, the great mystery. One person says go with that brand, another says go with this brand. Then you have the all raw people. I mean no disrespect to anyone. But I hope that one day, the secret will be revealed. I have gone through three diff dog foods with my 2. and I found one that gives them energy, poop is normal, and coat is healthy. So in my oppinion, buy about a week worth of food, and try it out. if they become lathargic, runny poop, or dont seem right to you then switch. about the only thing I have found that is agreeable with most people is a food change takes about a week and worst two for the stomach to "get Right". One thing I can agree on is limit human cooked food. raw steak nothing added to it, is okay. I cook mine with nothing added then give them theirs and then I add my flavors for me not them. That seem to be okay for my Huskies.
  3. Hello, this is my first forum I have joined. Mostly browse forums and move on. Felt like joining this one. A little about my pack. I have two Siberian black and white huskies. One I rescued in Kansas (george) and the other more recent was on the way to a shelter. But thanks to my vet here in GA I was able to snatch him up (shinook). Goerge I got as a pup and is my most active and most of my trouble. You learn alot about self control when dealing with a hyper Husky. Shinook i got about a year later and is a total opposite of george. He is calm and his previous fam did some okay training with him. I had the most trouble with seperation anexiety with him (shinook) though, his previous fam didnt due to well with that. Also if you look at my pic one husky is bigger than the other. George is around 60-65 lbs, and from what i have been told most likley amercian born. Shinook is at 70-75 lbs and was born in germany. I am about to do blood on both to see if there is any other breed in these two. I really dont care but ceriousity is killing me. I started working pulling with george awhile ago and he is used to it, shinook i just started and he likes to let george pull while he takes breaks. I am going to start alternating who pulls so one doesnt get to worn out and bored. and maybe that might get shinook to help out all the time. well i think that is about it for now. Dont want to cause anyone to have to get glasses. so in ending, I am interested in training styles (like games, i have no imagination on dog games) also pulling training techniques. And yes when I got George I went Dog whisperer watcher crazy. Some things help, but I still need training as well. lol
