  1. Louise he is 5 months old and has always been a bit timid when something new comes around, which is normal in my opinion. It was a funny picture in my head imagining you trying to get Storm in I agree Magdalena with your statement 100%. It would be like if I gave the person with puppies a lecture on ethical breeding, I don't know the situation and I wasn't asked so I didn't judge. They did give good advice on the best food for him among other things but people wont want to listen if that's how they choose to act.
  2. Even on the phone, just the way she said everything was like I was being frowned upon. Glad to know I'm not the only one though, so thanks Rafeal is great with people when they come around too.
  3. Rafeal had his first vet visit since we got him and he freaked out. He didn't want to move. He was an angel until we were outside the house, the receptionist kept telling me he was spoilt and "You need to train him"!! In an extremely critical voice I realize he needs training but this was his first time and IMO the staff were quiet intimidating. Wish I had gone to our regular vet!! Feel like such an idiot!! EDIT: She was also quick to assume he had a bad personality because he was timid. And this probably belongs in the steam room lol
  4. There are deodorant sprays designed for dogs that you can buy to keep him smelling nice. They seem to keep the 'wet' smell away.

    Lunar Now

She's grown so much! Gorgeous girl
  6. My two are like that as well. From what I've seen small breed dogs tend to be a lot more protective and less playful then large breeds.
  7. I would have never known what it is without being told, I think I can see lots of fluffy's on it too lol.
  8. Do they have a large number of staff? I would keep trying and keep some kind of record of each visit, then at least they would have to make a fool of themselves to your face or give in.
  9. When it comes to telecommunication companies, they seem to get a lot of criticism for things hidden in the small print and overcharging customers, though my experience has been very good. We've had our Internet and phone plans changes three times since we first got them, each time getting a better deal over the phone, so a tip I would give you is to ring up and see if there is anything better they can offer you. It only took a minute to get on to customer service, the person on the other line spent at least half an hour going though our internet and phone usage, realizing that a certain number made up a large majority of the bills, we can now call that number for free What has been your experience with your Internet/Phone provider?
  10. Has she just turned four months? She looks like she's growing up quickly for her age
  11. Welcome, She is gorgeous Love the second pic
  12. Rafeal and his new piggy who lost his voice, lol . My favorite parts are the way his ears flop and around 1:04 where he flips his legs out. It looked SOO much better though before YouTube made it of bad quality.
  13. I think the title would be much better suited if you hadn't already arranged it in a nice, neat pile
  14. I meant did you take the text from the top bar while you were on youtube? That always works for me.
  15. Did you take the youtube link rather then the one in the bar? Try the one in the top bar if you haven't already
  16. Aww, poor Koda. Hope you find him soon, he needs someone like you who will give him a good life. Joining this forum is enough to tell me that you had the best possible intentions so I hope it all works out for you.
  17. Thanks , though I can only see it when he's wet because he's gotten so fluffy.
  18. That's the kind of thing you would hear Australian's say too when it comes to how money is spent. There was an article once about an expensive piece of artwork which a hospital bought to 'hang' on their wall while some hospitals can't even afford a blood pressure monitor that actually works!
  19. Does anyone have a bony Husky like me lol, it hurts when his legs are digging in, though he looks well and hasn't been gulping his food down in a hurry. ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?

    Smell?

Does Suka get wet often? Mine smells offish from being in the water constantly.
  21. If it's something you want to do and plan on waiting for the best possible time to get another dog then I can't see why not, if you can afford the cost. Btw, we have three dogs despite the local department of housing only allowing two, lol
  22. Thought I would add it to this tread rather then start another, though can anyone tell me if it's normal for a husky to be bony? When Rafeal puts his front legs on me his legs dig in, is it just because he's using his front legs to hold himself? I agree Chula looks great and full of health
  23. I can't really offer you any advice as I only understand the metabolism of humans, not dogs and Huskies are quite different in how their metabolism works in comparison to other dogs. They are able to slow their metabolism down if the energy doesn't meet their needs so that could be one reason why it is difficult for her to lose weight. Though they are also said to be able to increase their metabolism when needed so if she still isn't losing weight then either she is healthy or I would think that their was a medical issue. I think it would be best to ask a vet and if your still out of luck try switching things around a bit such as more exercise, a different type of food, feeding twice a day etc.. It has been said to help the human metabolism though I really don't know a lot about dogs sorry. Hope you get some better answers.
