I got my GSG9's. . . walk forever in them. . . biggrin.gif

Expensive, yeah. . . but I was spending £50 every couple of months replacing

cheap stuff from Shoezone etc that wore out or split with a month or so.

If these last a couple of years I save money.

and given their pedigree . . .they had better last or I'll be complaining to

the German SAS. angry.gif

" it's the same authoritative footwear worn by SWAT teams and Germany's GSG9 special forces group."

I did the Shoezone thing for a while too and my feet were killing me. Went and bought some Merrell Moabs for £60. Soooooo comfy and, if we see an offroad shortcut, they have plenty of tread too. I think that they do a waterproof version for a bit more cash. Dead comfy for running in too.

I'm a big fan of some of the ascent shoes made by climbing companies. Essentially they're designed for walking through all sorts of surfaces and environments on your way to a crag, rockface, or group of boulders.

Companies like Mammut, La Sportiva, Evolv etc.

Probably a bit overpriced though I imagine, depending on what you're after.
