Kroush
Are These safe for them to eat through or do I need to worry about him chipping a tooth or something?
leasuenichols@gmail.com
Chopper does good with those but not all the time- he only gets one on his birthday. the only problem is sometimes they WILL stain the carpet!
Kroush
I've been giving it to him only when he's in the crate so it's a constant association with the crate and really special treats. But I just wonder if it'd be safer to give him something else like a pig ear or if those are safe enough?
HuskyCouture
I give embry dingo bones but those also I notice stain things if he's chewing on it
leasuenichols@gmail.com
have you ever tried a Kong? filled with dog peanut butter and his favorite treats? Chopper would have fun for hours with it to get him used to his crate while we were gone.
Kroush
He has a Kong, but he figures them out too fast. It was a lazy way to double as cleaning his teeth, too. lol.
sutsibe
I bought a similar bone for one of my guys in the kennel that will completely destroy any other toy - he loves to chew so much that even the hardest rubber balls or Kong type toys are soon in bits! He's slowly working at reducing his bone to nothing, and I'll probably get some more for some of the other dogs, now that I've seen how he's done with his... I used to get raw beef shank bones from the local butcher, and they really loved those! I stopped, because he wanted me to take a huge container of them every other week, my dogs were getting really spoiled - they only wanted to chew on the newest, juiciest bones, and I had all these other, less desirable bones that I had to somehow dispose of! Their teeth were not only unbroken, but very clean!
