I couldn't find the original thread anywhere (I'm sure Sparks will assist when his hangover goes!!) so here's a question.....................what do you DO.....and what do you WISH you did???

Currently-work for MCC in a contact centre, get screamed at for bins not being collected...but help some lovely people too :) 5 days a month I work doing case file research in Young Offenders Insitutes

One day.......I'll either be a social worker working within family and children services or I'll be a keyworker in a YOI (either way i'm pretty certain i'll end up working with offenders)

I work in motor insurance claims... not the most exciting job and like Diz I spend half my time listening to people screaming at me about not getting a courtesy car or some other stupid thing.

I think the meaning of the word courtesy has completely gone out of the window!!! Have people never heard of public transport

In Januray I'm going to Uni (again) to train to be a Podiatrist... not my dream job, but if it gets me my out of insurance I don't care :D

I'm a Web Designer, and get paid to sit there texting ^^

Start my Own Web Designer Company :)

Why think about it.... just go for it ..

I know where ya can get some good hosting cheap ;)

Anyways, good idea to start a new thread because there are lots of new members here now.

I am a software developer developing on the windows platform with VB.NET, C#, vb6 and specialise in transact SQL development and reporting systems.

And for me, I wanna win the lottery LOL. I will eventually run my own software house but need a lot more experience and a product that I think I can sell before I get anywhere near that.

I consider myself a scientist gone mad..I work with stormwater quality control in an area that receives less than 4 inches of rain on average per year. LOL :)

I wish to be professor one day. To stay in school perpetually and learn and teach concurrently.

Am looking into prerequisites for vet school...who knows if that'll work out for me.....

thanks for asking!

I am a housewife :) I was a PA/Secretary for years, and hated it. I now work from home making and selling stained glass panels, suncatchers and small windows. At the moment I am very content being at home in my studio with my huskies :) I would like to study art & design.

I work for a 'specials' pharmaceutical manufacturing company. 'Specials' are one off medication made to prescription for people who licensed medicines will not work for, i.e. a baby needs a medicine that is only available in tablet form, we would make it into a liquid so they could take it, or a cancer patient who needs a medication is a stronger formulation than what is licensed. I am the Supervisor of the over labelling department at this company.

The over labelling department labels licensed medicine, e.g. antibiotics, pain medicines, etc., with dispensing labels for hospitals. These are the medicines that the hospitals give patients either on the wards or upon discharge. The label we put on tells the patient what the medication is and how to take it so that all the hospital has to do it write the patients name and the date on the label and send the patient on their way.

I am also finishing a course to become a registered pharmacy technician, should be done in a couple of monthsbiggrin.gif.

I also dreamed of being a veterinarian but life's choices got in the way. My dream now is to simply be doing a job where I enjoy going to work, like who I am working with and am doing something that is important. I am nearly there with my current job just a couple of people who I don't likewink.gif

im permanently on the sick, so don't do very much at the moment, but i have a BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma In Animal Management and a FdSc in Equine Management, i've also worked a lot with Elderly, Ill, Mentally Ill, Learning Disability and Disabled people in the past and have done a lot of nursing type care, physio, and social care with these sorts of people.

But currently off sick due to general mental health issues and Asperger's Syndrome, which is a social learning disability. I'm desperate to get back to work.

I'd like to work with animals or people, just don't want the 'cliquey, bitchy' attitude of care work.

I'm a senior care worker at the moment working in a 102 bed care home, i delegate job's to the carers, deal out medication and do any dressings that need to be done on clients.

I used to work in school's as i'm a classroom assistant and a nursery nurse.

i'm also a youth worker i used to work in out door activities, it used to be my job to take teenagers camping for their Duke of Edinburgh Awards, i also got paid to absail, canoeing, pot holing, rock climbing all that sort of stuff. In the summer i'd get a group of 10 teenagers and we'd take over a sail boat, the kids learnt to sail it, change the sails whilst at sea, not an easy tast on a very large boat.

We'd sail the irish sea. great fun.

Have also worked at Banardos for a few years with children with disabilities.

What i'l like to be is a Coroner doing autopsies i have a fasination for blood an stuff lol

I am currently an administrator/research assistant in a social care and social work research centre at the University of Bedfordshire. I have a 1st class hons degree in Health Studies and would really like to work in health/social research. Next month I start my MA in Public Health and then hopefully in 2 years I can become a research fellow !!!!

However, Id really like to work on the music that goes into films - like what makes a film soundtrack successful. I find that sometimes the music 'makes' a good film or helps it. Id love to work with Alexandra Patsevas. I doubt it will ever happen but will happily appreciate the good work others are doing !!

If I won the lottery I would love to be part of a rescue centre for dogs.

Welllllllll....I'm a newspaper editor for a small weekly paper (circulation 1500) located about five miles from my home.(I told you it was small!) I've been here since Nov. 2009. This is what I've wanted to do since I started in the business 12 years ago. Now that I've accomplished my goal, I'd really love to have another reporter under me to help out.

I love what I do, but one burns out easily in this business and another head would be a great help!

What would I like to do after this? I'd love to write a couple books....the first is underway (I work on it when I have a spare moment or two) - It is about loving and caring for the elderly Siberian. The second book I'd like to write will be about the life of a Sibe - from the Sibes point of view, perhaps?!? That is my dream anyway!
