controlling fleas?

I started giving mine raw apple cider vinegar and that seemed to help some. Now I give her Flea Free all natural flea control and haven't been seeing any fleas. But I did start this around the time I stopped taking her to dog class, so she may have just been picking them up there and not at home. Either way, the vinegar is supposed to be good for dogs. But I know what you mean about things not working. When she had fleas bad I had been putting Advantage on her monthly and some flea spray on her before I took her out anywhere and nothing was working.

Wanted to mention we moved to the country and my dogs were infested with fleas so had to go drastic....yes a bit costly, but very well worth the money (Advantix).......worked miracles on my 7 dogs ...used once in summer on all the dogs and not one more flea or tick : )

How do you control fleas on your Husky? I've tried every product imaginable and nothing seems to work this year.

My 2 get a garlic tablet every day or every other day, they eat them like they're treats lol.

they we're both scratching before I started this and had noticed a few fleas on Kira even tho they'd both been treated, since I started giving them a tablet no scratching and havent noticed any fleas!

Much cheaper than the chemical stuff too, and so far seems to be working, will see how it goes once the weather heats up again

If all else fails, a whip and a stout chair. laugh.gif

(lol sorry)

We've not had a problem,

we use an off the shelf flea tablet and a flea collar that gets changed every three months.
