Val (Zebedee)
Steve likes to surprise me from time to time and today, while getting more birthday bits for me, he came home armed with this ... can anyone tell me the name of this fruit? (And yes, I do know, it's just for a bit of fun ) It has LOADS of big black seeds in, see the plate on the right, that was just out of 1/4 of it!! Val (Zebedee)
Not quite a cherimoya (Annona cherimola) but from the same family, Rach - it's a custard apple (Annona reticulata)! Also known as bullock's-heart, ox-heart, or wild sweetsop
Val (Zebedee)
Its a cherimoya......was it any good?? Have you tried a dragon fruit?? No, I've not tried a dragon fruit - I will try most fruits, especially exotic friuts, just don't like raisins, prunes, sultanas or cherries. What's a dragon fruit like? dygosamikita
I found the dragon's fruit quite nasty, but there are a lot of people who like them. They don't have a very good appearance, look a bit like wallpaper paste. I tend to try new ones when I see some interesting at tesco.
