Some companies include bank holidays in your holiday entitlement.

So, if there are 5 bank holidays in a year then they will include 5 days, if there are 4 then 4 days ect.

I work shifts and if a shift falls on a bank holiday we have to request it of as a holiday.

But it depends on the companies policies I suppose.

Sorry he has to work, hope it doesn't ruin any plans you may have :(

i only get fri an sat off regardless of the time of year date day or month.andthen i spend my days in bed out of sheer habbit of workingwhat feels like every bloody night an no social life. But as has been stated befor at least hehas a job would be worse if he didn't esp with new tax crap in jan..!

We finished work on the 17 th of dec and do not return till the 6 th of Jan and we are getting paid for it, but then I work for a big company :D

Wanna swap jobs :P

I work for one of the Uk biggest company's, their in the top 5 and 99% of employee's are treat like dirt, were just an employee number regardless of the position held. still i suppose i'm lucky to have a job at all.
