Ok i will be off shooting rabbits tomoz and sat.......i will be using a rifle so buckshot will not be an issue........the dogs will get the rabbits and i will keep some myself for a stew.........I was wondering if the skins need to be removed or not...i know they eat the lot in the wild but i will be removing the heads also cause that is where i will be making the kill shots and dont want them eating and spent round.........also what about the offal?

Sorry for the late reply. Would play it safe and take the heads off because of residue from the round.

Am still trying to find my first permission so that I can do the self same thing. BASC membership sorted but no FAC for me yet though so gotta make do with my .22 air rifle.................... for now ;) . Hoping to apply for that in the not too distant future.

Last year, Zoya captured one on her own, and proceeded to devour the thing. She instinctively shook the heck out of the poor thing, It was rather gastly to observe. Were we live, eastern Iowa, rabbits are known to carry tapeworms. They also are often infested with fleas. So those would be two concerns if the same holds true in your part of the Husky Kingdom.
