Stormy
May be moving (thank god ) in a month to a month and a half to a four bed house (sharing with our friend) now shadow is months will be 6 months then any tips on getting him use to the new house etc anything I need to worry about? What is good is the back garden goes onto massive fields that we can walk him on yayy Also our friend may or may not be bringing his border collie cross german shepherd (split with gf don't know who's having him yet) shadow has met him a few times and they get on fine any tips if he brings him as they would have to live together then?? Hyshqa
If Shadow is well socialised and used to new things he should be fine with the move. The only issue I've noticed when moving dogs is peeing in the house. With the house smelling all weird he might want to 'claim' it as his own He'll have all his own bedding and toys etc, so I doubt he'll be too bothered, especially as 'his' humans are still around. Get him into his normal routine from day one and he'll be fine ^_^ Good luck with the move!
valkyries
ye i agree he should be fine with his stuff and you around him, don't pamper him just settle into your usual routine from the start xxxx

Tikaani&Aiyana
I agree , I have moved quite a few times and the dogs have always been fine as they have their same crates, toys etc and we are there too so they seem happy enough. With introducing the dogs i would say let them meet outside first like in the garden and then bring them into the house together. Try not to have one move in before the other as then they may claim the house as 'their' territory. On the day of moving in they could be taken for a good long walk together to tire them out a bit and see how they get on and then return to the house. This way they will be too tired to be bothered with much x Thats just what I would do ..oh and also keep an eye on them with their toys in case one gets possesive. if they do take them away until they are more settled
meeshsalts
He will have no problems with the move. Huskies love exploring so somewhere new will be fun for Shadow.
cookiemonster
congrats on the move mate! great news!! Im sure Shadow will be fine with the change, Logan stays at my parents house a few times a month and settles in the same, as long as he has his toys and crate hes not bothered where we go! When we brought Indi home we took them for a long walk the first time they met and they settled down ok, but one of them will want to rule the house, so expect a few dominance growls and snarls to begin with until an order is set lol
BingBlaze n Skyla
good luck with the move meet on neutral territory - take them for a nice long walk thn bring them in the house together they should be fine - you will/might at somepoint have a few scuffles over dominace but dont worry
Stormy
Aa ok sounds good he may not be bringing his dog yet we don't know if not then I'll be getting another husky or a malamute in the future (tho I'd like to do that anyway even if he does bring his dog) his dog is very submissive very calm and they've both spent a whole day together before and been fine even with each others toys but then shadow is still young

Taylor Piskorski
Good luck with the move, I definitely agree with Steph on the marking issue. The day we brought Cesar home he ran around peeing on everything, even Zoey's bed! We were firm with him not being allowed to do that inside, and he stopped after two days
HuskyCouture
He should be fine just a heads up, we moved house in August and Embry was off his food for over a week and got sick because of the whole move, but don't be alarmed if Shadow does also-just him settling in. sutsibe
Congratulations! If it would be possible before the move, try to take the two dogs walking together a couple of times so that they are more familiar with each other if he does move in...
