Kechara
Hi there, nice to meet y'all! Name's Jamie Found this site after browsing through petfinder.com on their husky page and decided to check it out. Lots of great info! I got my first husky a little more than a year ago and I'm still learning, but I love him to death. I've been reading over some of the training tips and such which have been helpful! A little about him: Adopted my baby Jake from a foster care home and he was a bit of a mess health wise (lady hadn't had him for long enough to realize), but he'll be all better in about a month! He's about 2-3 years old now - no one could give me a better estimate than that - and he's got such a wonderful loving spirit even after suffering some abuse as a stray. Don't find too many of these beauties in the south (for good reason!) but they've always been my favorite since I was young; I am so excited to finally own one

Comeflyaway
Welcome to the forum! Can't wait to see pictures. By LA do you mean Louisiana or Los Angeles? My husband is from southwest Louisiana
Kechara
Louisiana I'm in the southeast area, bit north of New Orleans. Hmm pictures, so many to pick from lol. I don't know if he's full bred or not, but I think he certainly looks like it. During summer he liked to just lay in the grass outside for a couple of minutes.. He got hot quick so I wouldn't let him stay long His favorite, indestructible ball (so far anyway) Him running at the beach. Looks a little funny, but this was back when one of his back legs was still injured, so he's only running on 3 legs (it didn't slow him any!) Enjoying some cooler weather finally no pretty snow here, just dead grass haha.

Removed #2
He's a real beauty. My boys are also both rescues with questionable backgrounds....one lived tied out to a stake and the other ended up in impound for taking the life of a cat... Both were scrawny and timid when they came to us, and just the opposite now. Love 'em to death, and wouldn't have it another way. Welcome to the pack.
