lokis_mom
I don't get it, when we go to pet stores no one thinks loki is evil and vicious, its usually the other doggies being mean to him....but I noticed now that we take him to that big field, when people see loki they give us this look like he's going to eat them or something (with the exception of this one guy who had 2 MASSIVE great danes)...I just don't get it... sutsibe
I suppose it's easier to tell that he's behaving when you're in the store, than in a field...
lokis_mom
honestly he acts the same in the store as he does in the field, he can just sit there and they still walk with that look as if he's snarling at them or something... Andy
Daughtry has a very "serious" expression We quite often get comments like. . . Urgh, that ones giving me evils. . . I fink dat ones is gonna bite me. Thats an angry little dog. . . LOL Daughtry is shy and quite outside She just has a bit of a mask and is Bi-Eyed
lokis_mom
I think its kinda silly that ppl think that, because everyone that knows loki, they always say that he looks like such a happy puppy and always looks like he is smiling ...all he wants to do is just play with the other doggies...makes me sad
HuskyCouture
just ignore them people always think embrys vicious because he's so vocal and loves singing, and apparently looks mean. whenever people come up to us they ask me if they bite
valhalla
I have the same thing with my little girl, also called Loki, I think its to do with the Mask, with the white face and black around the eyes makes her look fearsome and the way Huskys play people think they are aggresive, When I take Thor out some people cross the street and hes the softest dog we got . Sid&BellaNTX
People just don't know. Sometimes when I'm out on a walk with Sid it's like people want to cross over to the other side of street. They get waaaaay out in the street to go around us. Sometimes I try to explain but it's like they can't leave fast enough. There's apparently stupid people everywhere. And there's no cure so far...I've checked. EDIT: I LOVE that avatar pic. The expression he has makes me laugh.
Taylor Piskorski
I get this all the time, people cross the street, they pick up their small dogs/children. A lady once asked me if her 2 year old could pet Cesar, right when we first brought him home, and I said sure just let me shorten up his leash because he likes to jump and give hugs (he might've knocked the kid over, playfull obviously, but still he's big a kid is small). She looked at me with such horror, and grabbed her kid telling him "No, you can't pet that dog, he will BITE YOU!" I was like, wth? I never said he'd bite, just that he's SOOO friendly that he knocks people over. I've kind of broken him of the habit, he only jumps on me now
Rosemary
We get the same reaction when we go to the doggy beach with our two Some people literally drag their dogs away from us. Huskies have had some really bad press, and it's up to us to convert them, one person at a time - but it is so frustrating to try and socialise our huskies here in SA, when no one lets their dogs play with ours
BingBlaze n Skyla
people are abit like that with blaze - they will openly go up to skyla n fuss her but seem weary about blaze - dunno why cuz blaze doesnt even bother - skyla pulls abit when she sees people (probs cuz she knows they will fuss her)
BlueWolf
Not so much problems with that here. Only saw a few people trying hard to not look at them, but I don't think that's husky related, just an general fear of dogs. I have seen a few children looking not so sure what to do when I walk past them. I always openly invite them to pet Glala and Dana and then everything's fine again I think it's definitely the look of the husky, not the fact it's an husky. My dad says that black and white huskies with blue eyes always look somewhat scary to him
art1972@sky.com
I pulled someone the other day, her little girl turned to her mam and said "look at that nasty, evil wolf mam" her mam replied "yes it is darling, dont look at it". So when I stopped her and asked why she was slandering my HUSKY she was taken aback - I told her that although he may look like a wolf he is not. She then told me she has seen me with him at the school when I pick my kids up and that she is amazed how calm he is when all the kids surround him and hug him. So why the hell not tell your daughter as much dumbo! If people dont want their kids to touch my dog, fair enough but dont agree with them when they make bad remarks about him. SarahNukka&Shadow
I dont know why that is coz usually I just get pounced on by EVERYONE with my two! Its like walking with celebs! Everyone wants to come say Hi and pet them specially little old ladies! They just LOVE um! We occasionally get the nasty wolf dog comments or the odd person Tuting at us when we get on the bus (like I didnt PAY for them to be on there and they arnt sitting VERY well behaved at my feet!? ) But those are few and far between and I just ignor them or grin in their direction like butter wouldnt melt, pisses um off no end! Tikaani&Aiyana
I was out walking my two a few weeks ago and a man was coming towards me with a sausage looking dog. I stood to the side to let him past as i generally take up the whole pavement with both, and he still picked it up to walk past! It was as if they were going to eat his dog or something I had a good laugh to myself about it after he had gone past

Kechara
Where I am there are a lot of people that don't recognize that Jake is, in fact, a dog and not a wolf. It really saddens me sometimes as this was probably the reason he was shot when he was a stray.. people are just ignorant. He's the sweetest thing too, he's never shown any kind of aggression. Every time I hear the wolf thing I tell them "Nope he's a husky!" Gotta educate them! My poor boy has even scared off our brave military men when I brought him out to a festival last year lol.. On the other hand, theres also the bunch that think he's so beautiful (he has the biggest ego ever I'm sure) and come up to pet him. The worst he'll do is nibble their hands and they think that's adorable too. I'll always invite kids that are interested in him to come and pet him. At the dog park (which is not in my town) at least people are decent and know he's a husky. He does play rough but most the others do as well and the owners encourage it; there's only been a few people freak out when their dog gets rolled lol. Sarah
I think it's the mask - and also people seem to be scared of blue eye'd dogs as well - when i get stopped walking my two they fuss Kimba (he has brown eyes) but are wary of Kaiser and always ask me if he is ok
