valhalla
Hi Suzanne, its been a long time since Odins been a puppy but i think we used James wellbeloved puppy feed for him at first, but he then went all upclass on us and now has mince and kibble mix, with an oxo cube in it, thats cooked of course, or tuna and kibble thats not cooked, taste like s**t other wise, but he has grown up a big and healthy dog and at Christmas has chopped stake and kibble with gravy
Andy
This usually boils down to what you can afford. There are lots of members with different incomes. Some can afford the very best £40 - £80 for a 13-15kg bag of food Others can only afford, whatever is available at the local supermarket. If you can give a price range you are happy to pay then we can give advice on the best in that range. However as a general rule of thumb, look at the ingredients. You should always be looking for WHOLE ingredients, corn, not corn husks, meat, not meat products. If it says "meat product - 12%" then the "meat" could be anything, skin, hooves, offal, hair. as opposed to it saying "Beef - 12%" where they are stating REAL meat. Hope this helps. Sarah
you'll need a higher protein food for at least the first 12 months whilst he's growing - some foods such as TOTW is for all life stages others such as Burns, do a pubby kibble and an adult kibble

Andy
Also a lot comes down to your dogs constitution. Some can eat anything and stay solid. Others have sensitive digestion all their lives and HAVE to be on whatever you find keeps them solid. Only time, and trial and error will teach you that. When you change from one brand to another, always Phase the new food in gently over say a week. gradually mixing the new food into the old until you have swapped over. Many of us have found that an "instant" change causes the "chocolate milkshake" bum Also quantity is important if you overfeed (especially puppies) this will give them the runs no matter how good a quality the food is.
