husky princess
we have something like this and he take so much longer to eat his meal and it occupies him well. I do recommend but if your dog has food aggression then i recommend introducing with care adn regularly take and give back so he doesnt become 'owner' of the ball etc.
PolarStorm
Im in the same position Tamz-my Storm just chews everything and I worry shes not getting enough mental stimulation! That toy looks good But can it withstand a Husky?? is it durable enough i mean? its along the lines of a Kong but i know what you mean of Shiloh isnt interested-Storm loves toys that makes sounds! Let me know if you find anything else though . . . .

husky princess
boil up some lamb bones and fill a kong with the stock add some cheese, carrot etc and freeze. that occupies them for ages.
Shadowpup
2 litre coke bottle, couple of holes, treats works wonders Just remember to take the lables off and tape the lid on or it could cause probs. Yuri doesn't destroy his favorite toys, only cheap ones he doesn't like (he pulls the legs off and then spreads the stuffing around) discounted christmas toys if your pet shops have any left. Anything he can chew, If he likes balls, you can get them for 50p from P&H I think (Yuri won't touch them). Rope is good, they chew it.. Can't think of anything else right now as the kiddo woke me up at 2am and I'm exausted..

jayt
Hope things work out for you, tamz. Here is the food ball we use. It was recommended by our trainer, and shows virtually no wear. It should hold up great. It's hilarious to hear the cube bumping and slamming through the house. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0006G54OU Here are a couple other toys we use that have held up to the abuse well. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000197Y8G http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002AQPAM
Andy
Daughtry rarely plays with toys. Won't chase or play with balls. however She LOVES superballs the little super bouncy balls she bats them around, picks them up chucks them in the air then chases them as they bounce off across the floor. Val (Zebedee)
great ideas - I love that cube, Myshka would play for ages with one of those (Diesel would sit & look at it, waiting for it to drop a treat!!) Just be careful with "tennis" balls & the like, sometimes the stuffing inside after it has been ripped open can be toxic to a dog, go for the solid rubber ones
