Dunc
Just seen this on news and they don't let a good story get in the way of the truth do they ? Its not the 65p they are being charged for its the price of the electrician to come out and change it that costs £22 because health and safety say only a electrician can do it

vinny1275
The story I read had a quote from the whistleblower - those costs were just for odering them for stores, not fitting them....... Crazy, but not unbelievable. When they're paying £22 per lightbulb, is it any wonder that the typhoons are so far over budget? They ought to get shot of the whole MOD procurement department, give the forces their own decisions on what to buy to meet their needs, without any concern for British industrial concerns. If the best place to get a fighter is Boeing, then get that one. That way, BAe will have to spend their money developing fighters, rather than ours. If they develop a lemon and no-one buys it, then tough, they need to up their game.
