Andy
Gimp is free I just did this in Gimp never used the program before. took me 2 minutes, and most of that was finding the move tool to place the watermark exactly where I wanted in the bottom right hand corner. Andy
Heres how. Load your pic in Gimp Click on the TEXT tool (big black A in the tool box) click on your pic where you want it to go. You'll see there is now a box open to type your words Type whatever you want your watermark to say. click Done if it's not exactly where you want it move it with the MOVE tool (toolbox looks like a + sign with points) use this to make the adjustment. Save your finished image.

TK_naya
There's also a site I've used before called Picnik that lets you upload and edit photos online. It's pretty cool. Definitley worth checking out and playing around with at least once.

wolfmyth
Linux and the freeware community in general have come a long way. There are a lot of quality products out there that replace 200$+ programs very well. Another nice program is ooffice for documents and spreadsheets, even my mum is able to use that . Offtopic a little .

Offtopic a little . Freeware? Open source you mean? Tell be about it. I've been using Linux and open source for a long time for all my programming, video editing/converting, photographing (and editing) and lots of more stuff. There is great stuff out there, almost all are based on the interests of the user, not the user's money!
