Shadowpup
She obviously had some serious mental issues... those poor kids... It's a shame she was saved as she will have to live with that guilt for the rest of her life. Who in their right mind would ever hurt their babies in that way... it's beyond me. I'd rather my child lived a full life away from me than kill her or her ever be hurt.

Removed #1
Narcissistic Personality Disorder Original Link Narcissistic personality disorder is a condition in which people have an inflated sense of self-importance and an extreme preoccupation with themselves. Causes, incidence, and risk factors The causes of this disorder are unknown. An overly sensitive personality and parenting problems may affect the development of this disorder. Symptoms A person with narcissistic personality disorder may: React to criticism with rage, shame, or humiliation Take advantage of other people to achieve his or her own goals Have excessive feelings of self-importance Exaggerate achievements and talents Be preoccupied with fantasies of success, power, beauty, intelligence, or ideal love Have unreasonable expectations of favorable treatment Need constant attention and admiration Disregard the feelings of others, and have little ability to feel empathy Have obsessive self-interest Pursue mainly selfish goals Signs and testsLike other personality disorders, narcissistic personality disorder is diagnosed based on a psychological evaluation and the history and severity of the symptoms. TreatmentPsychotherapy (for example, talk therapy) may help the affected person relate to other people in a more positive and compassionate way. Expectations (prognosis)The outcome depends on the severity of the disorder. Complications Alcohol or other drug dependence Relationship, work, and family problems References Blais MA, Smallwood P, Groves JE, Rivas-Vazquez RA. Personality and personality disorders. Hysterical Personality is a personality TYPE not a Disorder Paranoid Personality Disorder Original Link Paranoid personality disorder is a psychiatric condition in which a person has a long-term distrust and suspicion of others, but does not have a full-blown psychotic disorder such as schizophrenia. Causes, incidence, and risk factorsThe causes of paranoid personality disorder are unknown. The disorder appears to be more common in families with psychotic disorders such as schizophrenia and delusional disorder, which suggests genes may be involved. However, environmental factors may play a role, as well. The condition appears to be more common in men. SymptomsPeople with paranoid personality disorder are highly suspicious of other people. As a result, people with this condition severely limit their social lives. They often feel that they are in danger, and look for evidence to support their suspicions. People with this disorder have trouble seeing that their distrustfulness is out of proportion to their environment.Common symptoms include: Concern that other people have hidden motives Expectation that they will be exploited by others Inability to work together with others Social isolation Detachment Hostility Signs and tests Like other personality disorders, paranoid personality disorder is diagnosed based on a psychological evaluation and the history and severity of the symptoms. Treatment Treatment is difficult because people with this condition are often very suspicious of doctors. If treatment is accepted, talk therapy and medications can often be effective. Expectations (prognosis) The outlook usually depends on whether the person is willing to accept help. Therapy and medications can reduce paranoia and limit its impact on the person's daily functioning. Complications Extreme social isolation Interference with work Calling your health care providerIf suspicions are interfering with your relationships or work, contact a health care provider or mental health professional. Massachusetts General Hospital Comprehensive Clinical Psychiatry. 1st ed. Philadelphia, Pa: Mosby Elsevier;2008:chap 39. Neither of these mental health issues are things that crop up over night. The individuals treating the woman seem to be saying that she was merely reacting as the result of being in the midst of severe Acute Stress Reaction. All in all her suicide attempt wasn't a cry for help it was an attempt to avoid having to face the consequences of her actions. Another tragic attempt of the system to label everything with a treatable reason rather than saying...you killed your children. You have severe consequences to face. I have no pity for this woman...I hope that whatever jury she ends up with (or however your justice system works over there) has serious skeptical doubts regarding the ability for a woman to be both completely narcissistic (which in essence involves you believing the universe revolves around you), and paranoid to the point of disorder (which according to the diagnostic criteria means your prone to isolation and avoiding the world because everyone is out to get you) at THE SAME TIME. Of course she wants to be isolated at present...she murdered innocent children and somehow believes that it was because GOD gave her the power to punish her husband that she's still around. Lock her up...tie her tubes...throw away the keys and stop making excuses for horrific things that people do.
