AN UPDATE ON LOLA:

Recommended Posts

ok so here it is:

lola is actually 4-5 years old not 2 as her previous owner had said. she has all her adult teeth ect, and it could be that as her prev ious owners received her in an emaciated state - she has stunted growth and was mistaken for a younger dog.

(this is also why everyone coments on her size on husky meets)

her claws grow at funny directions, and although they are getting filed down on the pavement they are still growing far too long - they have been clipped all nice now and look very neat.

she had a good struggle while being clipped and had to be muzzled but we knew she didnt like her paws messed with anyway

she has had her kennel cough up her nose

and as she has no record of previous innoculations we have had her given a full course of injections,

the vet scanned her for a micro-chip and nothing has come up so she will be having one of those when she goes back in 2 weeks fr the rest of her injections and her free wormer.

he also felt her insides and her belly and he says he cant feel any scar tissue so she may or may not be done as we were told. but its difficult to tell as sometimes it heals well and could leave almost no scarring anyway.

the vet has also looked her over and said he is almost 100% certain she is pure-breed husky (as we werent sure becos of her temprement wether she could have a small amount of another breed)

he said she has all the key elements of husky liniage and he would say thats what she if for definate. and if crossed with any other breed there could possibly be a small percentage of mally in her but he doesnt think thats the case.

all in all im quite happy with the outcome!

and she has had a vast ammount of chocolate drops, raw hide chews, and gravy bones brought for her as a reward for her good behaviour!
