Val (Zebedee) Posted March 31, 2011 Report Share Posted March 31, 2011 Big D is SO happy to have his little sister back where she belongs - not as happy as her owners! She has a bandage on her leg from the drip & a shaved square under her neck (not sure why, only discovered it when we got her home). She came in & had a good sniff round, then looked quite miffed as her bed was not where it should be! So I put her bed there & she's curled up asleep now One thing that worries me, she has no voice. She is a husky husky . I asked had they had a tube down her throat that has irritated her but they said no, it was from her constant whining, yet whenever I've called & asked how she's doing & is she noisy, they've all said no she really cannot say anything, it's awful. She is on pain meds daily & we have to go back next Tuesday for a check up, the 2 head orthopaedic specialists tried to convince us that, even though her eventual x-rays showed a perfect set of hips (good breeding hips, apparently, that goodness she's fixed!) and the hips were not the cause of the problem, it was "likely" to have been a badly torn muscle in her back which would have required 3 days in there anyway for rest Well, whatever, she is home & her big brother is SOOOOO happy!!
