Hey there everyone.

Hi and welcome - love the upside-down picture of Cherokee!

I think more kids in the US can do these things still than you realize. It's just a lot more common in smaller towns and more rural areas than what you have where you are now...

I was able to go up to see the start of the Iditarod about 7 years ago, and loved it up there. Don't know how I'd handle the dark winters, but the area I got to see (only between Anchorage and Talkeetna) was gorgeous. A friend lives in Wasilla, and I'm going to have to make it up for a visit, one of these years! smile.gif

7 years ago? I think I saw the beginning that year as well mate, was David Copperfield in Anchorage at the time? It would have been big news around the city at the time.

Also I see what you mean by that, but let me at least inform you Ive lived in rural areas and suburb areas all across the county, ive lived in St. Clair Michigan, Eden and Williamsville NY, Holiday Florida, I mean I have been EVERYWHERE.

which brings alot of interaction with people sadly I didnt see those kinds of things that often.... I may have spotted one or two people with similar experiances each new place i lived. But thats about it...
