lindavamp666
Hi thanks for all the welcomes! There is something I wonder if you could help with. Yesterday and today I saw that Timber try to "hump" two my daughters legs. I didn't realize that behavior like this started that early. What should I do when i catch him "in the act"? Also I want him just as a family pet so what age can I get him neutured? Thanks
Sid&BellaNTX
Welcome Linda! Timber's a cutie! Hope to see LOTS more pics in the future as he grows. I would say have a toy handy just in case he starts that. At that age, he should be distracted by just about EVERYTHING! Also about 6 months is the age you can get him neutered. Someone more knowledgable can correct me if I'm wrong.
Staceybob
Hi Linda! Welcome to the pack! Your pup is gorgeous! When he humps, give a firm "ah ah!". Turn your back and walk away. Don't look at him until he has settled. You can get him neutered after his testi's have dropped which is normally around 7 months old, though some drop a little earlier. However, some people believe that it can effect their growth so it may be best to wait till he is 2 years old before neutering, but it depends on your circumstances. husky princess
welcome. I've been reading up on neutering myself as my pup is now nearly 8mths old. he has the most amazing calm temperament. any way i have been reading up on it and found that - they hit sexual maturity around 18mths. the research i was reading was promoting getting neutering done early as that is more likely to keep aggression to a min...ie before the male hormones kick in. it was really interesing reading and really gave me food for thought. basically any age from 6mths they can be neutered. if your pup has a retained ******** then get done asap as that can turn into cancer. as for the humping, this is testing boundaries and being dominant. defo dont allow. Get booked into puppy socialisation classes too but best of all EMJOY, they grow up sooooo quickly LOL - the ******** has been blanked and its a word for some reason cant be posted on here...well if he has a dangly bit retained!! LOL
