CountryRoad
I think you probably measured at the wrong spot... See on this picture : The shoulder is not were we would think it is... I think you have to measure where it says point of the shoulder... Hope this helps you... My boy is reaching four months aswell!
andy holgate
Don't worry if there is one thing ive figured out is the average size is just that. An average. Which is based on a very broad size differential. Mya, our six month old bitch measures about 26 inch to the shoulder and weighs approx 23 kg. Trying to convince my (much) better half that she will be fantastic tethered to the front of my bike for a spot of bikejoring along with our 5 year old border collie Libby. Alas she thinks a may look a plonker. Probably right but agrees the exercise would be fantastic and can easily look a plonker without trying anyway lol
mishkablueeyes
well i measured to the withers then and that was 22ins so if its only to the shoulder he is going to be huge as looking at the pic he is 22ins to the withers I think you probably measured at the wrong spot... See on this picture : The shoulder is not were we would think it is... I think you have to measure where it says point of the shoulder... Hope this helps you... My boy is reaching four months aswell! thanks for that so how big is yours to the withers then so i got a ruff idea if mine is the right size. proximity
do you have pics? this is my boy blaze - 2 years n a few months in this pic andhe is 13 inches - are u sure u didnt measure in CMs by mistake? - i did that earlier when measuring skyla for a harness lol Rofl, he is not 13 inches from the ground to the withers which is what I suspect other people are measuring. That would make blaze about the size of a Scottish terrier, now that would be a sight

Hyshqa
I thought it WAS supposed to be measured from the withers? Kiska is just over 22'' to the withers, and she's still got some pretty sizable growth plates on her front legs so she's got a way to go yet! I think she'll stop at about 24-25'', but she's pretty lean so she doesn't look overly big The 21-23'' for male huskies is just to set the breed standard - unless you got him from someone who breeds for show he could grow up to be any size
