When we meet anyone while out with them, I usually walk on a bit or keep to one side and my husband does the talking. I am very, very shy. He gets annoyed with me and says I come across as rude My OH says I come across as rude as well........can't help that sometimes the shyness comes off that way. Such is life. Amazing that I have the career I have - I mean, really! Who would think of a newspaper editor as shy! When I took my position in Ackley, someone told me that they were surprised as an editor is a fairly "high-profile" position in a community. Dear God!
