Sparks
What file type are they? Sometimes you can just rename them and put .avi on the end..... Make a copy of it first

Graeme&thepack
No need to convert your files...download a codec pack and your files will play through media player. Put codec pack for avi files into google you'll find loads hope this helps
Sparks
Just download VLC player, much better than windows media player

Staceybob
You can either use a codec pack like K-lite (though I find it a little buggy) or you can convert it to another file type using Freemake Video Converter. Failing that, if you get totally stuck, you can email me one of the files and I'll have a play and try and find the right route for you. BlueWolf
That file extension is confusion, but .ts files are mpeg files. Although I don't think it will work (VLC doesn't care about extentions) it still might be worth trying to rename it as .mpg as that's what it is actually is (or at least, should be). What did VLC said by the way? Usually the clues are in the error messages.
