wow i think its a bit over the top lol

There have been many threads where a Husky has snapped it's collar or harness, and done a runner. :(

Those owners wouldn't agree.

should a dog really be encouraged to pull that much?

No you're quite right.

However, if yours (or anyones :)) does, or lunges suddenly then you might be glad of the extra strength.

Anyone read the comment underneath it?

''WTF, indeed. People have no business having a dog if they're going to let it do that. Dogs that do that are displaying dominance over the owner. That situation can end tragically--with the owner or an innocent bystander getting mauled or killed.''

How on earth do they reach that ridiculous conclusion!

really? if you bought a good collar/lead wouldnt think it would happen also having a trained dog helps....I know huskys have the high prey drive but if you have them on the end of a lead would think you'd be able to get there attention

eh i guess if you have this issue and the money buy it

I agree that training is paramount, however on those occasions when the dog has pulled leapt forward and the collar/harness has failed.

and some of these weren't "cheap".

Even with the best of products these things happen.

Bo broke a lead within 10 days of me getting him. Wasn't used to socialising with other dogs, saw one and just pulled. Wouldn't like to say how much his current lead cost but it was EXPENSIVE. I never want to go through that experience again. Luckily we were in a park. Still pulls like a train when he sees cats, squirrels etc but at least I know it's only going to be my arm coming out of its socket and not him ending up as another statistic.
