siberian_wolf
at the moment we are not too bad for the flies but Im sure it wont be long until we get over run by the darn things lol. Have you tried the fly sticky paper that you can hang from the ceilings? My dad uses them and hardly ever see flies in his house.

siberian_wolf
I think you can get it from most hardware stores like homebase, possible B&Q, tesco, asda, etc I think you can get it in Rainbow superstores and maybe the Range.
raindog
If you have lots of flies around, keep a close eye on your dogs' ears. We had an infestation of Stable Flies about four years ago and they attacked the tips of the dogs' ears, leaving horrible bloody scabs - really nasty. The flies can also lay eggs in the wounds which can hatch into maggots. It can be easily treated with Pyrethrin or permethrin sprays, but it is not pleasant and painfully irritating for the poor dogs. Luckily it only ever happened the once and (touch wood) it won't happen again. Mick
