I can't find a decent image of a Tim Tam package but from the "shopaustralia" web site, under ingredients for Tim-Tam Original one finds:

May contain traces of peanut, other nut, egg or seed.

Unless one of the locals corrects me, I'd assume that that has been "shopped" - gawd, I hope it has!

Can't imagine that such an ingredient would receive a 'pass' by the FDA here in the US or the corresponding offices elsewhere, so you have to be right - unless somebody knows about an accident that the rest of us don't know about!
