Michelle Melsom
So heres another pitbull attack dont get me wrong I love pitbulls and have nothing against them and apparently neither does the mother of this child but do you think the owner should get to choose the fate of their own dog? I say there should probably be a 3 strike thing because sometimes things just happen once becasue of certain conditions. This was the 2nd time but it was pretty brutal :/ http://www.castanet.net/edition/news-story-63675--.htm#63675
Matthew
I think 1 attack that draws blood is to much if it was unprovocted. But thats because I almost got attacked by a pack of dogs when I was younger and ever since I am scared of stray dogs big time.

Removed #5
The boy is lucky in one respect, the location of that dog bite could so easily have been his eye - way too close for comfort. Too many unknowns to make a decent comment ... Many of the States have a "one free bite" law. Basically, a dog which has no prior history of aggression is given one free bite (that does NOT cover a mauling). The owner then has the responsibility to ensure that the dog is properly restrained. The dog involved is, normally, PTS if there's ever another bite. As we've said elsewhere - and often - it's seldom the dogs fault. The owner who trains a "guard dog" without proper knowledge and supervision or who doesn't allow the dog any reasonable socialization is setting the dog up for failure.
