Matthew
Link has a blue and brown eye, I noticed he bumps his head into a lot of things. I was wondering if multi color eyed dogs have semi blindness or something? Going to the vet this weekend, but wondering ahead of time. Arooroomom
Bi-eyed and parti-eyed is common in the breed and has no indication of blindness or eye defect. Both Cheyenne and Odin have "crazy" eyes.
Kissu & Aara
Not as far as I know? Kissu has two same colored eyes and he bumps into stuff a lot. I know he sees fine, he's just clumsy. But since you got Link from the pound, I would keep that vet appointment.
sutsibe
Blue eyes are often a bit more light sensitive than brown, but as has already been said, either and both are common in the breed, and are not linked to any vision problems. Kirbysowner
it is related to more people saying the dog is not a purebred husky. As well as you getting more annoyed at ignorant people
Matthew
it is related to more people saying the dog is not a purebred husky. As well as you getting more annoyed at ignorant people So people say its not pure because it has 2 color eyes? And thanks all for the comments, just want to be sure so I know to work with it already. Kells xx
daughtry is bi eyed and she is fine....it might just be puppy clumsiness
lynnmw1208
Pongo has blue eyes with a sliver of brown in the left one (parti-eye) and he sees just fine. Just sometimes he doesn't look where he's walking and instead is looking at me or a toy and hits his head on stuff.
Michelle Melsom
Sounds like a clumsy puppy as said not and eye color issue
Lisa Lim
Rocky has one blue and one brown eye and he is ALWAYS running into things. Definitely clumsy. I always hear a "thump" especially when hes running around or turning around too quick. But the vet said he is perfectly fine...
Nicole
from what iv read i think huskys are just clumsy , my girl has blue eyes and damn she is clumsy she falls over her own feet aswell lil sweet heart .. also she ran into a glas door before haha she was out in the garden and i was on the other side door shut and she decided to face plant it . really wish i caught it on film lol
Calin
Yeah, like others have said, they seem to be a bit clumsy sometimes. Aries has partial heterochromia , so each eye is a mix of blue and amber giving them a weird greenish hue, and he sees fine. That said, he frequently walks into lamp posts while looking at another dog across the street.

Well, I've seen sailors walk into lamp posts looking at girls across the street - and they weren't blind!
frankmayfield
Seriously, you guys think huskies are clumsy. My last Husky was 100% pure athlete. He was fast. He could jump. He could maneuver. He put any other dog that was around him to shame. And honestly, Maverick seems well on his way to that as well.

Yeah, ours are pretty athletic too, but you can't claim that yours never faceplanted or bumped into the couch

Andy
That said, he frequently walks into lamp posts while looking at another dog across the street. Yep mine do that ALL the time we call it the "DINK !!" moment coz that's the sound of their skull going "Dink" against the lamppost.
Biggles
Bo gets so involved looking up in trees for squirrels he bumps into trees. Then looks at them as if to say where did that come from. Frequently bumps into gate posts and/or lamp posts whilst looking at something as well and he's got two lovely brown eyes. Love the term "a dink moment" you're right that's exactly what it sounds like when they hit them. Not so much of a dink more of a thunk when it's a gate post. Kirbysowner
Huskies are not supposed to be clumsy. they are meant to have strong athleticism in order to be good mushers. My boy has white-ish blue eyes and he can see better than I can. Also, he trips sometimes while running, but he is not even close to being clumsy.
