General Question size and weight

This is a perennial question - my Husky looks thin, is (s)he?

The normal response if something like, If she's eating well; is active and healthy she's probably fine.

Remember that these dogs were bred to run many miles each day on a minimum of food so they (almost) all look skinny whn you compare them to the average (comparatively sedentary) hunting dog.

of course:

:worthless:

Very few people here will even tender a guess without at least a couple of pictures to judge from.

Also considering where you are, your dog is probably eating lighter than normal because of the heat and will naturally weigh less than she will when the weather cools down ( I live on the Texas desert - Misty is eating probably less than a cup of chow a day ..... )

She sounds on the slim side, but given her age, I'm not surprised - she's a teenager! If, as Al said, she looks and acts healthy and is active, I wouldn't worry about it, especially if you're feeding a good quality food. By the way, at 23" tall, she's definitely NOT short! The Siberian standard which describes the ideal Siberian has a height range for females of 20-22" tall at the shoulder. She probably has all of her height at the moment, but will continue to fill out a bit longer - perhaps even after she turns 2 years old (some take longer to mature than others).

Would love to see some :pictures:! :P
