Biggles
I want a pair as well. My son has a pair of arm surplus combat boots and they are waterproof in up to about 9" of water and he says are very comfortable. (They've survived this year's music festivals so far) but he says he's not sure if the women's one are the same. Does anyone on here know? (Sorry Nix if I'm stealing your thread or if these would be a pair of boots you would be interested in.)
Night Chills
Salomon Walking Boots are probably one of the best you can buy, but they are expensive, I use Karrimor, There not quite as good in torrential rain but good enough that your feet arent completely drenched if you step in the huge puddles Lol Best places to look for them are in Outdoor shop's or even camping shops For example unless they have a sale on ofc ----LINK REMOVED BY MARC ON REQUEST OF THE SITE OWNER----

Biggles
They are proper Army boots so not branded. I think he got his off ebay but there are a number of army surplus stores around that would stock new and nearly new. He said to be careful of the women's ones on ebay as they might be the proper army boots or if they are not of the same standard as the mens. Night Chills
I wear my karrimors everywhere when out with the dogs, and have never been pulled over yet and never had my feet get wet either, even in the snow. Salomon do specific Trail Running Boots, which are Light waterproof and very comfy, But as said Expensive. Both also come in variety of colours tho some you've really gotta question why they chose the colours they did Lol http://store.karrimor.com/footwear http://www.salomon.com/uk/

lebe03
I've had Salomon walking boots for about 3 years now and they're still as good as ever and fully waterproof but they're quite expensive £100+. I would suggest going to a shop that specialises in walking gear to ensure a good fit to reduce risk of blisters

flyingspanner
Hitec Magnum Boots. Look like Army boots, but feel like trainers. It's what we used to wear when we had to do long marches or running in full kit.

I wear Addidas GSG9's they are military boots designed for the German equivilent of the SAS. designed to equally good mountain climbing or sprinting. a bit pricy at over £100 but they have lasted me for 2 yeras now and still going. they are the most comfortable footware I've EVER had. Didn't need any wearing in, like you do with So many other boots. You can get them off Amazon here http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/?ie=UTF8&keywords=gsg9+boots&tag=googhydr-21&index=aps&hvadid=6400958646&ref=pd_sl_5vza03kmld_b

Boondog
i shit you not, check out a shop called Brantano - just look at their walking boots, and check online too, the price is awesome, they are very good, there own make are as good as branded boots, keep em treated like you would normally and you'll be be as happy as larry I was surprised, i usually commit to over £150 for my boots, i saved a lot of money and felt i should maybe have gone here previously. Just saying.... you'll be shocked at the quality Vs cost!
