Mollys_mum Posted September 2, 2011 Report Share Posted September 2, 2011 I hope it is okay to post this here; some very big changes are being proposed for the NHS, and when I discovered just how big, I emailed everyone I knew and posted a thread on a couple of other forums in order to raise awareness. The main point of the new legislation seems to be that the state will no longer have to provide free health care, paving the way for a US style health service. There is a campaign group called '38 degrees' that have an online petition, along with relevant legal documents/reports pertaining to the issues. Please consider taking the time to read about it (rather than the spin in much of the mainstream news) and show support for the NHS by signing the petition - nearly half a million have signed so far.
