Boring first day at school? Naaaah!

So as some of you may know, I'm now following a animal course at my new school. As part of it I'm immediately starting with a 5-month internship with a company that is related to my course. I found someone who runs a doggy daycare and dog walking service I could do my internship. I've been there a month ago, but the last two days I've actually started working there.

It's mainly collecting all the animals from their homes and bringing them to our huge enclosed field. They practically keep each other entertained by playing for 4 hours straight, so at that point there's not much work for me to do (yet). I thought it was a good opportunity to snap some "quick" pictures - which turned out to be.. ehm... more than just a 'few' :D

Anyway, thought you would be interested. It's all about the dogs!

Yeah I know, it aren't huskies. But still, I really don't think that it... Wait a second. What is that running towards me across the field??

Yeah! I got quite some husky kisses there. Got some funny faces, but I didn't care! :yahoo:

The smaller the dogs are, the louder they seem to bark. This one for example preferred to continuously bark to other dogs... about 10 centimetres away from their ears

Harry (I like that name!):

Same husky again. Mishka, I've been told she's about a year old.

And this.. ehm... I'm not even going to give a comment

This is the person who "runs" the company :D

A one-in-a-million shot :D

A Border Collie. Forgot his name though :duh: He was quite persistent. Kept walking in front of me and when I didn't respond, ran around the area and came back with as much as twigs in his mouth as possible. When I threw them, he ran the completely other direction :D

The smaller ones made up their difference in size by making as much noise as possible  Though most where cute actually :)

Mishka is a a smiler and definitely not camera shy!

This one stood there with his tire, barking, barking and barking! And as soon as we got closer he started chewing on it. He had his own hidden place where he had put all the stuff he had stolen from other dogs. Sticks, toys, balls, you name it. As soon as he walked away all those dogs grabbed their toys again and ran away with it

And this is part of the pack. The area is used together with two other dog walking services, all of them seem to be friends with each other, including the dogs :)

:wub::wub::wub:

(More in the next post, just a few left)

And this is Zorro! The tiniest dog I've ever witnessed. Did not like being pet but was extremely fascinated by my camera, especially the clicking sound. I was happy that at least ONE dog stood still for more than 5 seconds and did not try to lick either my lens or my face :D

At the end of the day we had to put all the dogs in the vans to bring them home again. This one was eagering to start driving :D

For the real kicker, the text on the car says "Dog walking service" :D

I'm going to send these photos to the one who runs the company. She said she wanted to put them on her website so their owners can see it as well :)

I'm loving it so far. Best decision ever of me to switch schools. I'm with these dogs on Monday and Tuesday. On Wednesday, Thursday and Friday I'm at school. And even than it's mostly about the animals. They have goats, all kinds of birds, ducks, horses outside, and snakes, rats, mice, more birds, other reptiles, rabbits and much more inside the building. It's like a mix between a farm and a school :D It's not uncommon to see dogs inside the building, or even inside the classroom. Both from the teachers, but also from the students (we can bring our own dogs with us when the teacher needs them!) They're our lesson material, lol :D

Tomorrow we will be starting the day with feeding the animals. They've already warned us to put on cloths that you don't mind getting dirty so that will be fun!

Aaah, I'm looking forward to tomorrow. I wanna go to school!! :D:D:D

awww fab pics - although i don't see MUCH dog WALKING going on hahaha x

I can assure you that most have run around that huge field about 50 times  They bumped into me many times at full speed when I when I sat down (what I usually do when taking photos of dogs), lol. I tried filming them, but finally resorted to slowmotion videos again because there was just too much happening at the same time! :D But yeah, it seems to diver every day.

Got worse ones (by accident, honestly!), so I did notice it, but this one isn't so bad as the ones I've already removed :D

Sometimes you get so focused on the animals, you forget there are people walking in your shots as well

Yeah right post the others ;)
