Mazz
Well, Zoya stalked, captured, and brought about the demise of a small rabbit tonight. My son watched her stalk the rabbit, and called me outside to intervene. In the interim, Zoya had the bunny en-mouth running the field with it and looking so proud. Our last Husky did this all the time, with no ill effects. But I was hoping Zoya would not relish it as much as she seemed to. I was finally able to extract the rabbit away from her; well half the rabbit anyway. I'll have to keep an eye on her for awhile, to see if her temp goes up and if she has any digestive issues overnight. I'm going to stop by the vet's office tomorrow and see if they suggest a wormer for her, though she is on HeartGard.
Austinville
The vet is a good idea since rabbits carry worms. Hopefully there were no tummy issues last night.....

Mazz
She's fine. But boy did her breath stink last night. Tummy-wise, there were no issues.

Mazz
Called the vet. Tape worms galore on the rabbits in our area. So, Zoya is due for her HeartGard on Sunday. Of course, it does nothing for tape worms. I had two options, go with a wormer in three weeks for two doses at $11 per dose, or switch to Iverhart Max, which takes care of heart worms and tape worms and some others. Here's a link: http://www.iverhart.com/Iverhart-Max/ I talked with the vet this morning when I stopped in, and he said if it were his dog, and it ate a rabbit, he'd feel better about having the dog on Iverhart Max, then trying to time the wormer doses. Zoya spent all day today sitting and watching for rabbits. None to be found.
Tasha
Iverhart works well. Anything with an Ivermectin base works well. Sounds like she had fun. Maddie has not caught a rabbit yet, but loves to eat lizards, and yesterday she ran with some mustangs for about 1/2 mile before coming back......
